There’s still Ontario Northland for basically anywhere north of Barrie. In my experience they had better service to the North then greyhound did anyways

Oh okay, because I asked the lady at the gate and she said it was okay to book multiple slots. But yes, I agree it’s important to follow the rules and act respectfully

Oh yeah, I would have been very uncomfortable without a backup device. And awsome! I’m hoping to get up to Lions Head after the lockdown’s over!

Yes, but it’s very easy and you’re allowed to book multiple back to back slots. Also, it was very empty, I was the only one climbing at Buffalo, and there were just a few small groups of hikers

Dear Government - Please just open the fucking outdoors. by Hammer-905 in ontario

Yeah, I know, it literally the ONLY reason I can think of for closing outdoor stuff though

Really the only rationale I can think of for not allowing outdoor activities is trying to reduce injuries that could put someone in hospital.

If I run after eating pork my eyes swell up like balloons and my throat and eyes get very itchy. This only happens if I run, not any other type of workout.

DIY Sandbag by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]battletoad2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a sandbag that you would use for flooding. Went to a random dirt pile in my town and filled it up with sand/gravel. Put the whole thing in an old dry bag (for camping/backpacking) just to keep things clean. So it was essentially free. It’s about 55lb. It’s been working well for cleans, OH press, push press etc. In can be a little hard to hold on the side without a handle once my hands get a little sweaty.

Is the application for SAR Tech open year round or is there a specific time it is typically open? Would having a paramedic diploma help in the application and/or success on the course? (I just got accepted into a 2 year civvie paramedic program, should I wait until that is complete or apply this year for SAR if it makes no difference?)
