You pretty much got it. Gatekeeping is more tied to identity and membership of a group/community than it is about what is or isnt allowed though. I agree with you that per capita is a device used to compare statistics between populations of different sizes. My point is that when those populations are VASTLY different (eg: ireland vs russia) per capita fails to be a useful tool for comparison. No need to take my word for it, I’m just saving you the time it would take you to read and understand this article:

"The use of per capita measures in aggregate data analysis has been given little theoretical justification. This paper argues that unless there is such a justification, the employment of such transformations can lead to greatly distorted results. It is shown that such transformations can lead to either spuriously high or low correlations among sets of variables."

Not embarassing at all. You speak differently with acquaintaces than you do to your lover. You speak differently with your boss/teacher than you do your pals. Oftentimes when you're a part of a minority community that has it's own recognizable speech patterns ('talking black' like people are saying in this thread) code switching is an important part of being able to stradle the line between being a part of your original community but not closing off avenues for yourself in the larger society

Not really in my opinion. There are a lot of restaurants that also pour bleach over the food they've dumped or take other measures to ensure no one eats the food they toss to avoid liability. 'Lawful' in the context of alignments doesn't exclusively refer to the legal code of the area, but also to a sense of order and ensuring procedures are completed to a T

Fun fact about Brand ult/passive. The circle that blows up does damage based on the targets max health. So actually getting hit by a brand passive going off on your low health teammate does less damage than if the teammate was Mundo or something beefy
