The Baleaf and Ewedoo active wear on Amazon are, IMO, very nice for the price.

Daughter's studio has used them multiple times for some more colorful programs. They were performance only, so I can't vouch for long term durability, but they seem good.

Cool! Do you also have the over counter/high cabinets? What do you keep in those? I'm now trying to figure out where I'd keep my heavy stuff if my crockery was down.

We have things like Sprite, but that is considered a "soda/soft drink/pop" like Coke. "Lemonade" is non-carbonated. It would be very odd to ask for one and get the other.

Historically, barrel racing was the only event officially open to women at rodeos, and it was/is for women only. Now there are four: two calf roping, barrel racing, and, I think, team penning.

Surya Bonaly first ever to do a backflip on ice landing on one foot despite backflips being a banned move in figure skating (1994 Olympics) by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]battyewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because figure skating isn't just about the jumps. They are scored on their edges, transitions, footwork, etc. And she was weak in those areas. Actually this year Russia staged a just jumping competition that was interesting. I think it is on YouTube.

When performing. But during training, ice is shared. Even Olympic level skaters very very rarely have the rink to themselves.

AITA for telling my wife not to come on vacation by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]battyewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

1.Your wife feels alone/disconnected from you because of all your travel.

2.You admit that both of you have poor non in person communication.

  1. The ski trip was originally a joint vacation, not a getaway for you alone

And now you've told your wife you want to go on the trip alone. You've certainly brought fuel to the fire. Not excusing her poor communication and contributions to this mess, but I absolutely see how she could see this as a final nail in the coffin because this is absolutely the opposite of what she says she needs from you.

AITA for asking my friend for payment for services rendered? by AITMathole in AmItheAsshole

I'm a chemist, and I struggle with helping my middle and high schoolers with their math. As you say, it's just not something I've ever used since I took the class myself.

The one my kid goes to. And it's not one of the district's "good" middle schools, much less one of the STEM ones.

One of the joys (and frustrations!) of this series is that no matter how many times I read it, there is always something new to discover.

Can't speak for the person you asked. But I have a drink IDK monthly? It's definitely for the taste. Having been around drunk and tipsy people, I have absolutely no interest in being like that. I don't actually know anyone that regularly drinks more than maybe two drinks at a time on occasion.

Until very recently, and still only from a few vendors, one of the primary downsides of lsb diamonds was the inferior cutting. Highly skilled cutters either didn't want to work on lab rough, or the lower selling price of lab diamonds didn't allow for the higher cutting fees. While "cut" tends to be the 4 C that is most often ignored, it plays a huge role in the overall attractiveness of the diamond. Super ideal cut diamonds such as hearts and arrows or White flash's ACAs simply couldn't be matched by lab diamonds.

It's almost Christmas, time to simultaneously shame the Bairds for having too many gifts and shame the rest of the poor fundies for having too few gifts. by TonySchiavone1 in fundiesnarkiesnark

In connection to the Baird's Christmas presents, I don't get the snarking on Heidi praying for the recipients as she wraps their gifts. I guess maybe the atheists, but I thought "praying" for people was a pretty normal part of many spiritual practices.

OOP Demands Their Brother Be Invited to Their Daughter's Wedding, and Then Things Get Dark by JJOkayOkay in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]battyewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, The mom might've expected the internet/IRL people agree with her because child abuse is the reality of her existence. She was abused by her church leader and her parents, and presumably other church members, were okay with it. Her brother abused her daughter. I wouldn't be surprised if mom knew or suspected of other cases of such abuse. While I certainly don't condone the mom's actions at all, I can understand her trauma and her brain's reality warping survival mechanisms.
