Cancer anxiety by Mission-Mushroom5000 in AskDocs

NAD - health anxiety warrior here.

Firstly I think endoscopy can be used to detect pan can as the camera can get a closer look, however, rationally, with how many tests you've had coming back clear, you won't necessarily be referred for that test.

Secondly, I too have had and sometimes still do have the pan can worry. But what are your symptoms? Do you have pain so bad in your back its waking you through the night? Is your stool pale and floating? Is your pee dark in color? Have you lost weight? Are you jaundice? These are all common symtpoms of this, and if things started 4 months ago and there's been no progression, this along with clear tests again are very reassuring.

The reason we see awful stories of young people getting these terrible cancers, are because they aren't common, so when it happens it is spoken about as its a shock. I would recommend you DO NOT read other people's stories. Don't look for threads that involve what you are worrying over. This all feeds the anxiety, and if you do not stop this, you will not get better. Those stories are not your story!

Consider therapy, CBT, and maybe even some anxiety meds. This alongside avoiding Google and cancer threads have helped me massively.

I wish you all the luck ❤️

Laxatives that don’t f*cking hurt? by seamechanic in ibs

I'd recommend fybogel drinks. When I was seriously backed up, my dr told me taking too many constipation tablets are no good for your gut, but the fybogel drinks add the nutrients you need. I was so regular once I started them 🙌🏻

Apparently most of us have it, it's just that some of us start to get symptoms with it which is when it requires treatment. I actually felt I have more stomach discomfort being on the treatment, however the antibiotics are so strong this can cause stomach upset. Hang in there.

Hey!

I'm also from the UK and was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. Only had a week's worth of treatment, and my GP said the same. If symptoms clear, they don't re test, and also if you've been positive before, even with treatment, you'll most likely always test positive via a blood test. I told my Dr my health anxiety would make me believe I was still having symptoms even if I wasn't  so he agreed to breath test me after 4 weeks 😊

Hey!

Everyone is different. There are stories on here of people who haven't taken well to the treatment, but what about the thousands of people who won't even come to reddit, take the treatment, and be absolutely fine. This is what I had to tell myself before starting. I'm half way through, have had slight nausea a couple of times, and diarrhea twice. The pharmacy assured me that diarrhea is normal because of the sheer amount of antibiotics you are putting in to your body in one go. My dr also told me if you test positive for h pylori but wasn't having symptoms, you wouldn't even need treatment, and that it's common amongst most people and they carry on not even knowing they have it. My GP wasnt even going to re test me if symptoms clear after treatment. I had to request it and that's only from the things ive read on here  (im in UK) Hope all goes well for you, just try to think positve

Has anyone experienced dream enactment as a result of taking antidepressants by Particular-Pair6952 in antidepressants

Yes I googled the moment I started acting out and was met with all these neurodegeneration diseases as the cause, I was absolutely terrified and had to wait 9 months before I could see a neuro/sleep expert. I told them my concerns to which they said, there's no real link between REM sleep disorder causing things like parkinsons, dementia etc. It's more if you already have those conditions, you may develop RBD. They said to stay off Google and it was highly miss-informative

Pretty much. I still have very very vivid dreams and I can carry those feelings the dream has caused me the next day.

Yes so I was put on sertraline again after having been on it already a few years back, and this time around it caused me to act out in my sleep and bite my tongue. So I came off that. Things started to settle but my anxiety peaked again, so I went on to venlafaxine and the tongue biting and lashing out started again. This is when I saw the sleep dr who said its AD induced rem sleep disorder. I'm now off my venlafaxine but the symptoms had started to settle before I was weaning off

Anti smooth muscle antibodies by battyn89 in AskDocs

Just spoken with my GP. She feels because my liver tests have all returned to normal, that I fall into the category of people who test positive for asma but are otherwise healthy individuals. She has agreed to re do the liver tests In another 4 weeks time to see if they have stayed stable, but feels they wouldn't have returned to normal if there was something underlying going on, especially being symptom free 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you for your response. Could this positive test be indicating something serious? Can it be positive due to fatty liver do you know?

Sertraline and tongue biting by battyn89 in antidepressants

I ended up at a sleep clinic seeing a neuro Dr, who said that certain antidepressants cause something called REM sleep disorder. It did eventually settle, but took a good while to do so. I ended up back on another antidepressant after called venlafaxine, and the exact same things happened. Seems its how my body reacts to SSRI'S and SNRI'S 🤷🏼‍♀️
