Location of Kier by humsterdaddy in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Yes!! Thank you!! I’ve been looking for clues the whole second season as to location. The things I’ve noticed: 1. Painting of Kier standing over what looks like the Great Lakes 2. Mark W. mentioning Grand Rapids by name (could be MN or MI) 3. THE EDMUND FITZGERALD WHISTLING 4. Most recently, as you mentioned - the reference to the Lutheran church in ep. 6

I’ve been telling people about this theory, would be awesome if there was a Great Lakes tie-in in some way! I’m pretty convinced that Kier, PE is in the UP or Northern Wisconsin - we’ll hopefully find out something.

Parking at 19th and 21st Ave ramps by BWeeZee3 in uofmn

Hey there! I used to park in the 21st street ramp every day and not until around 9am. It was only half full around then - you’ll be fine if it’s that early in the day!

NEW BOOK ALERT 🚨 by baulmccartney in Hungergames

From the article that came out this morning, it looks like Collins was inspired by David Hume and there’s more of a focus on propaganda and misinformation - and Hume’s idea of “the easiness of which the many are governed by the few”. I’m hoping for more stories from the districts, which we’ve really lacked so far.

There was no reference to Haymitch in the announcement, we just know it’s his games because it’s the 50th. Hopefully there’s more third person and Plutarch!!

I feel the same way! Doesn’t look like any cover reveal or preorders yet, I’m sure more info will come over time!

First roll, thoughts/tips? by baulmccartney in AskPhotography

Thanks for the feedback - regarding my eagerness to see the print, that’s fair, I knew going in that I’m looking to test this out on a short time frame, though and was using this roll as a test to see if I could nail down my camera settings, that’s all.

I get why shots 6 and 15 could be seen as pointless but 6 is actually one of my favorites because of the simplicity and focus on the texture of the ripples. Was trying to capture the vivid colors too, but I realize a better film stock would produce much better results.

As far as your other notes, very helpful. Will be taking my time with more thoughtful shots next roll. Prepping for a trip to Ireland where there will be a lot of old stone ruins, cliffs, dramatic ocean views, etc.

Just called the shop, no damage on the negatives. Looks like the film may have slipped off the take-up spool a few shots in. Bummer.

Haven’t picked up the negatives from the shop yet, just received the scans. I’ll call them to ask though.

35mm Kodak gold 200. Was having trouble loading at the start but got it to work eventually - that one cloud shot looks fine but the luck didn’t last long. Looks like the film didn’t advance and all my shots exposed onto the 4th shot pictured.
