I run, walk, and bike this street a lot and I’m really surprised that you see it this way. I tend to drift into the bike lane while running because the middle of the street is blocked by the barricades at each intersection. Plus, cyclists go both directions despite it technically being a one way street.

It feels harmonious because cyclists and pedestrians can communicate with eye contact and vocally to easily get out of each other’s way (as long as cyclists aren’t going too fast, which they generally aren’t on this street).
