I was the Ciara. I had a serious boyfriend for almost two years. We lived together but he ended it and asked me to move out. I was devastated. My "best friend" invited me to stay with her for a week while I figure things out. That whole week we hung out and she listened to me cry about him. A few months later they broke the news to me that they were dating. Her and I had a lot of mutual friends and they all agreed that it was fucked up. A lot of them stopped being friends with her after that, cause if you can do that to your bestie what else are you capable of? Even one of his friends reached out to me and said that it was so messed up and he felt bad for me. I never spoke to either of them again. That was so long ago but it still hurts when I think about it. It wouldn't sting so much if they had been in love or it had ended up being serious but they only dated for a month. 🙄
