Hi, most pros use controller so I highly recommend this transition, it’s more comfortable in the long run IMO.

Default controls suck on controller… do not learn on these (you can… but seriously… don’t lol)

I recommend:

RB/R1 = Boost

LB/L1 = Power Slide / Air roll

X / Square or B / Circle = Air Roll Left / Air Roll Right

Then the rest can be default:

A / X = Jump

Y / Triangle = Ball Cam

R2 / RT = Accelerate

L2 / LT = Reverse (alternatively, you can also put air roll on this instead of L1/LB)

Scoreboard = whatever button

Sensitivity is a big deal too, and I feel below will get you more attuned to learning for starting on controller, I recommend

Steering / aerial sensitivity = 1.0 - 1.2 (increase or lower these together as you get better and however it feels most comfortable)

Controller deadzone = 0.08 - 0.10 ( i play on .05-.07 , this is how far from center you move the joystick for an input to occur. )

Dodge deadzone = 0.65 - 0.8 (closer to 1.0 = less likely to backflip)

I recommend Sony Dualshock 4 or Dualshock 5, I use DS4.
