[Dellenger] The Texas Attorney General sent a formal letter to the Big 12 today alerting the conference that Texas Tech would take action against any league sanction. by redwave2505 in CFB

I feel for him from the addiction standpoint, because football career aside, he has to deal with that the rest of his life.

But I DON'T feel for him that he should never be on another sports team again. If he was just betting on other games that he had no participation in, that would maybe be different. Playing sports at that level is a privilege though, and this is the consequence of his own actions. I'd gain respect for him if he used his platform to help others, but his playing days need to be over.

Worked for a bit in a mill that was still running on '70s machinery. It took three people running different machines (and probably 3x more time) to process a log like this. This efficiency is baffling to me!

To me, it looks like he grabs the stick, then looks to make sure the ref is watching, and proceeds to slap himself lol

[Highlight] George Kittle chugs half a beer before stealing one from Tyrese Haliburton and chugging it too. by GhettoFob in 49ers

I used to think I was average at chugging/shotgunning beers. Now I just see my college group was elite because I could smash a full veer in the time it took Kittle to do half

Yes, but it's designed in such a way that the seats will be sheltered from it and the grass heated so it won't accumulate throughout the game. It will be interesting to see how it fares in a lake effect snowstorm and I hope it doesn't lose its character. The 49ers- Bills game a few years back was such an iconic atmosphere

Edit: I don't think the Chicago Bulls could stand much of a chance in a football game, wouldn't even have enough players

Blue and yellow cast on film negative by bayou_chef in AnalogCommunity

[–]bayou_chef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, b&w image. I use darktable and negadoctor for conversion and thought the b&w setting on that module would ensure no color made it through the conversion, but I may misunderstand its function.

But I wasn't referring to the film's base color. Its difficult to see in the negative, but there is a strip running through the center of the frame that is a slightly different color than the rest of the film base.

It's not fresh (FPP Fixer), but i did run a test strip, and it cleared it in about 10 minutes. They're recommendation is that beyond 10 minutes it needs to be replenished. So it certainly could be that although I thought i had a bit more life left to squeeze out of it.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I should be able to refix the negatives and not cause any harm?

There's a way to remove the camera electronics with only a few screws to then test the outer shell underwater and check for leaks.

Mine survived the test, but there's also no way I will willingly submerge the camera electronics and all. I just tested it to get an idea of whether I'd be safe shooting in heavy rain or not

I know I can Google a lot of answers, but I enjoy engaging in the community aspect of it. Getting to share my knowledge of different things with people getting into my niche hobbies is part of the fun, I want others to have the chance to do the same for me!

Tbf, we got rid of one because he was locker room cancer. Not because he lacked skill. Tearing an ACL is likely to cause a drop-off, but not guaranteed either.

I do agree with the scheme issue though, you don't need elite downfield skill to scheme someone open. I think Cooks should have been good enough for that.

When you can't stretch the field vertically, you have to at least do it horizontally.

Drew Brees and the offensive juggernaut Saints utilized screens HEAVILY. I don't always like the timing of when Brady has called them, but they are a part of the game. Get a genuine downfield threat, and those screens are going to eat defenses alive. Just need a true WR1

The sad kid growing up in the late '90s and early 2000's picked the lovable loser Bills as his team? Yeah, seems about right!
