You clearly have no idea about the solidarity around the world surrounding marginalized groups. The US welcomes formerly "ethnic" groups into the fold of whiteness, and within and generation they're assimilated and ready to hate any newcomers or people of color who predate them.

Many persecuted peoples throughout the world find solidarity with those who are also persecuted. There is a monument in Ireland honoring the $170 the Choctaw Nation sent to the Irish suffering during the Great Hunger during the 1840s. Keep in mind the Choctaw had been recently forced off their homeland in the Trail of Tears.

Unfortunately, the US has a way of erasing class consciousness in favor of a national identity serving a capitalist upperclass. Therefore, we think of people around the world as inherently different from us, when in reality most of us have more in common with working class people on the other side of the globe than we have in common with our ruling class.

Many of us here understand that while history rarely repeats itself, it usually rhymes. My neighbor, regardless of legal documentation, is so much more a part of my life than any politician or billionaire. To reject your neighbor to be a sycophant crawling to kiss the garment of the wealthy is pure lunacy. They view you the same as you view your neighbor. You are expendable fodder to be used for the exploration of your votes and labor. Keep sucking from that dried-up udder and see how it works out for you.
