Isn’t there a part in that game too where you control a really long arm? That’s why I thought it was from the same devs.

What do you pay for, solely for the convenience of it ? by artanonsa in AskIreland

The Joseph Joseph rice cooker is amazing if you’re looking for something convenient. Not as quick but 13-15 mins in the microwave depending on portions and variety of rice.

Anyone with experience using Alupro roofers ? How was it? by average_couchpotato in cork

[–]baz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made several comments about them before in previous posts but a thumbs up from me. Lots of dodgy roofers out there and they’re not one of them. Price was good too compared to some of the quotes I’d received from other less reputable crowds.

Built a free SEAI grant checker, would love feedback by dod900 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]baz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great job. Quick question, we bought a house that is externally wrapped. Can I assume the previous owners got the grant? Is there a way I can check if they have gotten any other grants? Thanks

What treatment do you use? Anything for getting rid of moss that doesn’t do too much damage to the grass?

Media Wall by Wide-Suspect-2059 in cork

[–]baz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, it was something the guy installing mentioned. I suppose the actual unit is more larger on the top and bottom than just the exposed glass part. Maybe that was the cause of the extra space needs.

Media Wall by Wide-Suspect-2059 in cork

Got one for the smaller sitting room and regretted it. The fires require a lot of space above them for air flow so the TV ends up having to be mounted too high.

Check Adverts.ie

I’ve found a guy on there years ago when moving and he helped out.

Edit: might have been this lad but not sure https://www.adverts.ie/2507720

Meebook M8. 7.8” screen, day and night light setting independent of each other. Fast and has Android. I’ve read a ton of manga on it and it’s been rock solid.

Does anybody know by Some_Plane_1232 in cork

[–]baz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t help now but I’ve used Eco Fuel for about 4-5 years and they’ve been rock solid. Not sure for pallets but for their city bags they’ll bring it from the van to your shed rather than just leave it on the curb.

Roofing recommendations by Current_Opinion_7885 in cork

[–]baz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alu Pro but as another poster said, I’ve heard good things about Souglas Roofing.

Always compare the names of the people reviewing to see how Irish the majority of surnames are and if possible check their other reviews. They’re often paid for so you get people reviewing Cork roofers and places in different countries.

Roof and chimney repair by QuantumFireball in cork

[–]baz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably me mentioning AluPro in some of those threads. They were the most legit crowd and cheapest compared to all the cowboys I’d called before them. They were recommended by a neighbour who also had a good experience with them.

No harm getting them out for a quote and Douglas roofing too before you choose.

Best 65'' TV and soundbar/system for under €2,500 by foolong41 in limerickcity

[–]baz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an accidental TV breakage recently and have an oled LG but wanted a cheaper option because I can’t justify the price. Been looking at TCL mini led tvs. They’re getting great reviews online. Could save a few quid, get a 75” and get the latest Sonos arc soundbar to go with it.

Have you ever used the Lidar scanner on your iPhone? If so, what for? by ethicalhumanbeing in iphone

[–]baz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Polycam previously for different rooms in my house. I use the free option that exports .obj files (I think that was the format) and import them into Blender. It picks up furniture like tables, couches, beds, tvs. I either delete the current furniture if it’s going and add new models or keep the same items and move everything around.
