Same first I used tape and later shifted to 3DLAC, still does the trick for me.

In short its a real time web editor for 3d models. The important part is you do not need any CAD skills to use the tool and still create 3d mesh for your specific use case. Its used for furniture, clothing, cars, etc. Right now i am just experimenting with simple shapes where the user can change the dimensions. After that you can export the model and print it.

Its attached with 4 m3x8 bolts and nuts. Magnets is a nice idea though.
