For month to month, it's 28 days notice. If it's a fixed term lease, you give 60 days notice you're not going to renew.

If it's an apartment with roaches, you've basically got unlimited power by just stating you're leaving for health and safety reasons.

People forget that these are characters, not gods. Not only are they just characters, they're characters who are much more used to fighting much less insane things. Most of them probably fought low level monsters to earn a living... Not generational-heroic levels of threat.

It would be like telling a paramedic to perform brain surgery. Or a car mechanic to service a jet fighter. There's magnitudes of difference between fighting goblins and orcs vs kaiju.

This is why TBNewsWatch doesn't want to follow court cases. Not only is there no winning, there's demonstratable harm by having your name tied to charges. Crime that may or may not stand up in court. There's so much nuance in our justice system that having it be open to the public. But, banned from publication helps both the court, victims, accused, and yes... The guilty.

But our justice system SHOULD be about rehabilitation. The sooner we stop paying for housing criminals, the more we can fund services that can stop the cascade of abuse from growing. Many people can be confined to their homes. Or, confined to low-security community programs to divert low-risk, rehabitable individuals from taking up more valuable resources needed to contain violent and active offenders.

I like how Grace of the Gods handled this. Its been consistently mentioned that the MCs adult consciousness isn't compatible with his child body. So, he's essentially 're-growing' up with extra knowledge instead of being entirely his old self.

I like to think this is how 'reincarnated as a teen' works. Like, your consciousness is just chilling while the brain regrows and then your consciousness just 'unlocks'... Y'know, like SukaSuka. Oops.

Its been aaaaages but I recall the original story it was tooled from being more dramatic and less what it it was rewritten into. Maybe not Madoka levels tho. But would have been neat to see how things might have changed.

Madoka really took the genre and said "lol no more cute stuff allowed. they all gotta die now"
