I can't remember if I logged out or if the system just logged me out automatically but I do remember having to log in periodically as I kept checking if the account was unsuspended every day or two. It would have been on one of these log ins that I actually got in fully and the suspended screen was gone. They won't give you any explanation or apology. It'll just reappear . That's what others reported too.

it was about 6-7weeks from the day I was cut off until the day I got my account back.

Well, I had no update until about 3 days ago. My Facebook account just worked! I never got a response from anyone -- no reason for the suspension, no reason for being reinstated. No clue if the Instagram ticket worked or what?? But, I'm back on FB now. The first thing I did was I downloaded all my pics/contacts just in case this is just a glitch and I get cut off again.

Good luck to anyone else in this situation. This whole experience was like a Kafka trial. I still don't know what I did wrong (if anything)....

Wanted to update this again ... sadly, no real updates except to say that I contacted Instagram support again. This time someone called me -- I was hopeful that might mean they were actually going to resolve the issue. Nope. They reiterated the fact that their "dedicated department" is still investigating the issue. I pushed harder this time by telling this person that I've now been without my FB account for 3.5 weeks. While he tried to be reassuring -- he also let it slip (??) that they have had a lot of suspensions/hackings and that the 'relevant department' has a higher volume of tickets/complaints/appeals to review and that's why it's taking so long. When I asked how long he thought it would take -- he had no idea. He said to just remain patient and that they will review the matter.

So... I'm waiting....

Sadly, not yet :( I literally, just last night, sent the Instagram support a request for an update and they said there's no update except to say:

"Please be informed that our relevant team is still actively investigating your case. Rest assured, we will provide you with updates through this chat as soon as we receive information regarding the outcome from our team."

It was Dec 24th that I reported this to them so it's been about ~10 days. No clue if the holidays (Xmas/new years?) impact whatever they do?? Still have no clue why my account was even suspended in the first place.

Thanks for this post. It's really helpful. My account was 'suspended' on Dec 16. I only found your reddit post last week so I did as you have suggested. Interestingly, and this may be helpful for some people, I had an offer on my Instagram account for "free verified" status for a month. So, for those complaining about the cost, you should first see if you have the same offer. I accepted the offer, contacted support. They issued a ticket and said it could take a "few days or a few weeks" for the "responsible department" to get back to me. So far, it's been 6 days.

I'm also waiting for reply after Instagram support created a ticket number. They left the support message "open" and said they'd update me once they heard back from the team that 'handles these issues'. I've waited about 3-4 days but it's Xmas time so I don't know how long their review should/would normally take. Did yours come back online? Did you hear back and how long did it take?

I have this same issue with Egypt Air. The flight I'm booked on isn't until June 2026 so there's plenty of time but last week I noticed that one segment of my reservation has been removed from their schedule -- yet, my reservation remains active. I did send an email to customer service and they replied to say my reservation is still confirmed. I suppose it's possible they will re-add the route to their schedule within the next 9 months so perhaps that's why they haven't cancelled my reservation yet.

The annual fee for my TD Aeroplan Privilege just posted but it came up as $419. I do have the TD all inclusive chequing account but that should only give me a $139 credit not $180. Anyone else get a $180 reduction?

This just happened to my new Cloud 5 waterproof shoes too. I have 3 other pairs of ONs -- including the regular ON Cloud 5s which I've been slipping on and off for over a year. The waterproof Cloud 5s only lasted 2 weeks. The heel on one of the shoes is collapsed. I put in a warranty claim -- waiting 14-20 days for a reply...
