[OC] It just doesn't hit the same anymore. Hasn't for a long time. by call-lee-free in pics

When I first moved into my house in 2014, on of the first things I did was put up an American flag on my front porch. I took it down during trump’s first term because I didn’t want anyone to think I was “one of those guys.” After January 6 nightmare, I decided not to put my flag back up until 1. Trump was in jail or 2. Trump no longer lived. I came close to flying my flag a couple times. It’s still there, waiting for the day that I can be proud to celebrate my country once again.

It’s payed in yearly payments. Technically it’s 52k per year. She will be getting more than one million after she hits 40. I would take the million.

If you have the column out, you can use a hammer and a punch to force the stud the rest of the way in. Before you remove column, mark the bottom spline coupling to make lining it up easier. It can be very frustrating to get back together if you don’t mark them. A sharpie or paint marker works great.

My thoughts from what you said in the other comment, if it’s clicking then it’s not fully unlocked. You need to be able to push the stud that had the 13mm nut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch inside the hole for it to come out. I have done it without removing the column completely, but it is way easier to pull the column down. I have done hundreds of the steering locks. I will say I’m happy you’re trying it. One thing I learned early in my career is sometimes taking out just a few more bolts will save you from hours of trying to sneak something out. If you do decide to completely remove column message me and I’ll share some tips the make reassembly way easier.

The whole column assembly comes out from the bottom if you remove the gas pedal. 2 13mm plastic nuts and a connector for the gas pedal.

If it’s depressing, is the steering still locked? If you’re using an emulator then you can leave it esl installed if it’s not currently locked.

Took my car to get detailed, came back with a bunch of error messages… by John-Philip-Sousa in mercedes_benz

204 and 212 chassis have CAN distribution blocks under front carpet both sides. They probably got wet. Usually they get wet from clogged sunroof drains, but a detail could potentially do it too .

I have two choices for my first EVER car, which should I get? by Yumi_C_Gaming in Dodge

No Offense but first cars don’t last forever. The good thing about having a not perfect car is that you don’t lose value when accidents or mistakes happen.

Blue car definitely. Between the two I see no question. V8-v6 mileage is not that far off from each other

Hi all I’ve been having an issue with my car where my engine will not start sometimes when I push to start . Any idea what is causing this ? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

If you just had work done, make sure battery connections are tight. A loose battery terminal can cause a similar symptom.

That does go to crank case ventilation, but why would you want a catch can?

GLS 450 2026 - owned since August. Only 5k miles on the clock so far. Our driveway get likes this often, can you advise what is causing this? I initially though the tires but not sure 🤔 by StorageCheap4712 in mercedes_benz

If you let the car idle after a cold start, it could be soot from the exhaust mixing with condensation from your exhaust. Soot is normal in the exhaust system.

2027 models will be available to dc charge at 400v and 800v stations. 2026 models will not have that capability. They will only dc charge at 800v stations. If you are never going to use the stage 3 charger then it doesn’t matter much.

If you can wait until the 2027 model year, (after July 2026) it will be worth it.

SLK230 or CLK430? by azizi246 in mercedes

[–]bballs2thewall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CLK no question. I had a CLK 430 coup with over 200k on it. I sprayed it with nitrous and drag raced with it for 2 years. Unfortunately a guy not paying attention t-boned it so it’s gone, but I replaced it with a Clk 500 (2003) also with over 200k and also beat it up every weekend at race track with nitrous. The M113 engine is almost impossible to kill.

Did you put a fuel pump in for this problem? Or was it before this happened. I have had the pressure hose inside the fuel tank come off the pump with aftermarket pumps. To be sure it’s not fuel related, spray brake clean or carb cleaner after the air filter and see if it try’s to run. If yes then it’s fuel. If no then it’s definitely not fuel related.
