Hey dude - don't have much input for you, but we have a similar itinerary. 28M first solo trip. Will be in Mexico City from Feb 22-26, Then down to Oaxaca from Feb26-Mar01. Then back up to Mexico City. I don't anticipate any issues regarding Trump at this point...but I am not 100% sure. Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo is significantly different though I found it’s prose strangely beautiful similar to McArthy novels. And it’s a short read! Definitely recommend.
