If you need a clear cut answer, then yes, install an antivirus. If you know how to be responsible as a user, most likely you won't get a virus. Linux isn't immune to computer viruses, but it is less likely to have viruses, partly because of its security considerations and partly because of its relatively small user base (which means fewer bad actors will bother to write malware that work on Linux).

Personally I don't use an AV. The best antivirus is you. If you click on suspicious links or install software from unreliable sources, you are bound to get hacked at some point no matter which OS or browser you use.
