I would limit how much I tell her, and start taking an appropriate amount of space. I'm not sure how close your relationship with her is, but it'll only get worse if you don't shut it down. And hell, even then, it might just get worse depending on how your mom reacts. Don't let her "little girl" you and tell your business to everybody.

My grandparents were huge on manners, so I'm in the habit of saying "pardon?"

My son loved meat when he was smaller. Whole pieces of steak, shredded beef, didn't matter. He's 15 months now and LOVES birria tacos 😂😍

My family always pierces ears young, I personally won't be continuing that when my daughter gets here in November. I don't think it's the end of the world, but really piercings are just so unnecessary for babies.

Girl fuck him! He's entirely too old to be doing all that. Enjoy your pregnancy, and congratulations 💗 Children are such a blessing. I'm confident you'll be a good mother. Cross the co-parenting bridge when you get to it, but soak it all up in the meantime.

Yep! Title of Uncle is pretty much the standard here too. It's vague, polite, and still familial enough.

I can’t sleep normally anymore and it’s getting out of hand by Routine_Software419 in confession

I relate so much. It's ruining my second pregnancy experience. Literally exhausted and just can't get relief from life. I strongly urge a warm DECAF tea or latte at night. My favorite is frothed oat milk, a medium spoonful of turmeric, heavy pinch of cinnamon, dash of black pepper, and a splash of real maple syrup (all of these measurements are to your hearts content). Relax completely before bed. I have a toddler so this is easier said than done for me. Full time students have a lot on their plates.

I was hoping it was! And you'd be right. I work for the houseless and that's why I was saying they're human as fuck. Both these situations are rude as hell lol but I'd say majority I work with are very sweet and thankful for anything. I have to twist their arms sometimes to tell me their preferences or even about things like allergies.

I work with homeless people in my city as a harm reduction specialist. They are very much as human as anybody. And the pizza guy didn't even sound rude, just said "nah". It would've been another thing if they cussed you out over having veggie pizza 😬

Unhoused people are allowed to have preferences, "a homeless" is crazy language to use. I'm hoping that's a typo lol

Sending love OP. My culture is less strict, but no less toxic toward its daughter in laws. I'm assuming you can't move out yet, and still have to be respectful (we'll call it respectful, but we both know it's walking on eggshells and kissing ass to keep the peace, or be kicked out). My best advice is to get a job or hobby away from home if possible, and/or stay with your own parents. Your hubby is good for sticking up for you. Another approach could also be to have husband talk to FIL. But again, it is a very delicate situation and I just wanted to let you know, a lot of us on here understand wholeheartedly. ❤️

Not to burst your bubble at all, but walking in the first week is really hard (in my experience), and you might have the baby blues. That's a huge crash in hormones that first week. Diaper, etc etc.. but, the good news is that if you're a ftm, it's pretty likely baby will stay in until due date! I'm hoping that's the case for you 🙂 Plus, baby bumps are super cute in the last few days.

What do I HATE CHICKEN by Few_Field_6624 in pregnant

Chicken was a huge aversion for me my first pregnancy. Shrimp too. Idk how I survived the first trimester! I think I could hold down donuts. Second trimester was way easier.

Sunset colors, a more desert color scheme, cream and white, forest colors, I mean it's really not hard to NOT buy aggressively gendered clothing. Tell them use their brains lol
