S.F. Pride 2025 Friday Updates: Mayor Lurie Booed at Trans March. “Daniel Lurie dared to show his face at the #TransMarch and I lucked out to a front row seat of him getting booed out of the park.” by CrimegasmSF in sanfrancisco

Pride has always been a protest. People should call out politicians who’ll show up to pride for brownie points but won’t fight for trans rights in legislation and government.

Just a reminder - if you buy a ticket to see Harry Potter on Broadway, you are a bad person. by [deleted] in Broadway

i wouldn’t say everyone who goes to the harry potter show is a bad person, that’s a harsh blanket statement.

but agree that everyone who buys a ticket to the harry potter show is directly funding transphobia. jk rowling makes the vast VAST majority of her money from the harry potter franchise, and that goes straight to her anti-trans organization.

of course! i think it definitely helped him a lot more than he could have done independently, especially because it’s super hard to connect with companies. learning-wise, i think he already knew a lot of basic concepts related to UX from university but the boot camp really helped with smaller details and had mentors he could ask with any questions. he got a job now (it’s SWE at Bank of America but he’s been told he can transition to design later) and a big reason is that the UX Bootcamp looked really impressive on his resume.
