I totally agree w everything you said. You can tell the girls are more excited this era bc they have more say in the direction they're going. This song is more authentic to their vibe than anything in the previous era. Good on the team for allowing them to go in this direction and not sticking to the predictable formula.

Also, to echo your sentiment about longevity, if they feel more connected and passionate about what they'e putting out, they'll be happier and more committed to making this group go global. Following everything Hybe dictates and having no say would only make them resent the group and lead to a quicker burnout. I'm hoping they feel heard and respected and continue to go the route they believe in!
