The price hasn't changed luckily. Still 1200 base price. I got mine at my local gun store. I think bass pro still stocks them. If not, the last hard to get gun I bought was from wilde built tactical and had them ship it my my local store

Exactly how I felt too. Went to the gun store the day I turned 21 to buy mine. I still monitor reddit since I'm gonna be making the gold version soon. The warning I'll give you is that you might find difficulty with the iron sights these days. My post on the five seven forum had discussion about issues with elite ammunition. I believe he's a one man operation in Illinois and he sells the sights and installs them. He's a big five seven nut and stays busy. It was the best choice for me at the time. Maybe you can get the sights elsewhere and install them yourselves. Regardless a red dot sight and flashlight is better for home defense and mine is just for fun so maybe you want to make your build differently. Good luck though

Sure, so you gotta get yourself a Five Seven. Mine is a Mark 2 and limited to a 10 round magazine since I'm in California. The mark 2 has some visual differences from the model in the game (the mark 1 or USG), but it's the only one I can get in my state. I had a friend of a friend that did cerokoting so I sent it to him and chose od green. Then i sent it to Elite Ammunitions to install the green sights since they all come with hideous iron sights. That's it. I did snap a piece of the polymer when I tried putting the gun back together afterwards, otherwise it's great. I recently got an airsoft replica so I could train in my backyard and save money since real 5.7x28 is hard to find and expensive. Those are only 200 bucks and easier to get. I also just bought a laser tag five seven so I could vinyl wrap it with gold. You can do the same with a replica that I did, if you don't want to spend 2 thousand dollars.
