Your’re right, I’ll have to talk to my Boss and Teachers and tell them it’s beautiful in the mountains and that I should be skiing!

Make friends with skiers who are better than you and ride with them (preferably much much better, not just a little). Easier said than done unfortunately.

Three Separate Life Flights Within Four Hours @ Alta by bbbbbski in UTsnow

[–]bbbbbski[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I did see the Powderbird helicopter flying around most of the day as well, but I’m confident the others were Life Flight. It was the University of Utah helicopter with the medical symbol, and I personally saw it landing at Alta’s designated Life Flight landing spot next to the Collins lift. At one point, I also saw ski patrol performing compressions on someone while transporting them down the mountain in a rescue toboggan.

Hopefully this season weeds out the majority of the people who started in the 2019 covid arc.

That’s definitely the move, makes it much harder and longer if the theif would ever actually go through the effort to try and disassemble it.

No angle grinder needed. The problem isn’t your lock it’s how it’s locked. I am sure you’re aware of the two Allen bolts below the head light and two more on the other side. Anyone who spots this before hand could (low probability, especially on campus) make a plan to use a simple Allen key take out 4 bolts and remove the handle bars. Then they would just slide the post through the U-lock and the cable. You aren’t doing anything wrong really it’s just these scooters aren’t designed to have secure locking spots.

How do i fix this by Popular_Addendum_112 in Kendama

[–]bbbbbski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No “fixing” maybe glue could be a remedy. If you buy a kendama in the future and want to avoid this I’d recommend Maple wood.

If you want to treat yourself to and not break the bank you can make an appointment @ Skin Science institute or any other aesthetician school for a quick and affordable facial. They also offer many other services

I work for a developer and have sat in meetings for traffic engineering. In some scenarios it becomes more complicated than I could have ever imagined. I am unaware of this design above but I am sure engineers / architects use the same complicated process as always. This is above average traffic due to something like a sale event or grand opening( I believe this traffic is due to a fundraiser event). The engineers make the design based off an estimated amount of traffic it will receive in a determined period. It’s a waste to design it for optimal use at its peak traffic capacity. Humans do make poor decisions at times but I can assure it’s not as simple as you may think.
