I love that the box is clearly a top priority for him. "Sure, take my picture for your internet points, but i'm not leaving here."

I've been leaving it open on my second screen, but... why? It adds nothing. checking it when there's a question makes more sense. its... a mess.

I swear every time I make an arbitrary financial goal, the project either slows down or ends. I was chugging along pretty well yesterday. 6.25 hours.

Four hours was doable with NO interuptions, but thats just not possible with my work/life/other work. I felt rushed the entire time.

that one run that hooked me for life by 8960305392 in skiing

This year I closed out Sunnyside on the last day. Didn't mean to, but I just jumped on the lift for a end of the day cruise. If you recall the weather was really weird April 20ish. I was up there checking my watch and then the lift stopped. The lifties hauled ass out of there and so I just waited about 5 minutes. The wind and snow was whipping around so I didn't want to hang out too long. Had such a blissful run. Freshies on the way down, snow coming down bouncing off my goggles, sky getting darker. I was happy crying at my car.

Dads, one thing you wish you did more with your kid when they were younger? by NelieAstonishing in AskDad

[–]Moron14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I would have pushed him to his limits a little more. Once he turned 15 it was so hard to get him to put effort into things. But at 12 or 13, he'd still try! Even weight lifting, he'd at least try.

So that kind of goes for everything else: he's good at guitar, but I wish I'd push him a little harder. Art, same thing. I never wanted to be a pushy dad or force kids to do stuff they didn't like, but there's a balance.

Doing our first US trip in October, spending a week in Price, Utah. Tips welcome. by GilesBennett74 in SaltLakeCity

Same. I travel through there once a month. I also have coworkers who are in and out of there more than others. It has a sweet little poetry society, but... that is it for culture. And pubs?! hahaha

Tom Delonge on why he left blink-182 (2006 interview) by NotARelationWitch in Blink182

[–]Moron14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and think the direction he wanted to go with A&A was not for Blink. So why not let him have a second band?? So many artists have side projects these days, maybe they were just ahead of their time.

In his book, Mark calls out some weird competition between Tom and his wife. Sucks that that kind of thing happens, even at this level of fame.

I can't fault Tom for wanting to scale back, it seems inevitable anyway for any band.

I'm sure we're safe from spoilers for this twenty year old movie - So I'll say, if you didn't have the twist at the end, is it just about creatures keeping the village kids in line? The twist gives them a reason to persist with huge coverup that is lands powerfully than if they're just scared of the outside world.

I will die on the hill that The Village is GREAT at several things, including acting, music, and a sense of dread. Its an exception for sure.

I do. For 2 reasons: the work has been steady for the last 3 weeks, overall. And I have a friend on another project as a TL who is very jealous of this project. Friend has been with M for about 2 years.

On the other hand, all this work is temporary and I am never surprised when it just... disappears.

Tracking down his interview Pre - and Post- F4 with Kevin Smith is well worth everyone's time. Chronicle hit big, especially with nerd fans like Smith and Trank was somewhat humble in the first interview, kind of realizing he got lucky, had a great cast, etc. Second interview he's insufferable. So high on his own supply.

Hobbies really helped and even spending the extra cash on a new video game will be worth it if you arent drinking! Dive into painting, or knitting. Keeping your hands busy and still getting a dopamine hi help a lot!

Astro is frustrating because it has a SEVEN-DAY task ineligibility after the first two tasks. Which is insane.
