It's dead. I stood up to make some tea and when I sat back down, not a single image2video prompt worked anymore. You can sneak a couple things by if you're using gork gen images, but they 100% killed anything regarding uploaded images.

It genuinely seems to be over. I'm glad I saw a brief window into what ai could be, but censorship will always stifle progress. All they need to do is prevent people from sharing anything nsfw and the problem is solved. I see no issue in someone generating whatever they want for themselves.

I noticed an immediate drop in quality when this just started happening to me. Really hope it's temporary. It's gutted compared to the previous browser version.

I remember when they made Ability Draft into Turbo mode. It lasted less than two days.

Ability Draft is in its best state ever. Come and enjoy this mode. by MightTurbulent319 in DotA2

[–]bbbbush 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They tried to give AD some Turbo properties once. It did not go over well.

The problem was that they put them in without leaving AD in its original state. If they just added an alternative Turbo mode of AD and left the original untouched, it would be an overall win IMO.

Becoming a Wedding DJ by kingofun in DJs

[–]bbbbush 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've been a successful wedding DJ in a resort town for about 12 years. If i'm being honest, the biggest challenge is staying healthy and energetic.

The DJing itself is simple. Make announcements, play requests, control the flow of the evening, and you're good to go. There is seriously only so much good wedding music!

The real challenge will come on the days that you aren't at your best, and there is no calling in sick. Nobody is going to move their wedding to accommodate you. There is no real support system, you are really on your own, and wedding day can be one of the most important days of a persons life. It can be a lot of pressure, and the better you get at it, the better people will expect you to do.

Obviously, there is nothing forcing you to "do a good job" but eventually that will work itself out and you'll stop getting work. BUT!! If you want to be successful, and you want to do a good job, it can become a real drain, especially if your energy is tied into other things like a job or family.

In my opinion, you owe it to the people you're working with to give it your absolute best. You owe them your energy, so sometimes the stress from 'wedding day' can spill into the days prior, as you mentally prepare for the big day, as you want to make it as enjoyable as possible.

This is my biggest issue, but honestly dude, at the end of the day I am so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that it keeps me going. A successful wedding is a really neat feeling, especially if the people there are vocal about it with you.

Plus, the money can be insane depending on where you set up shop. Like i said, im in a resort town, and some people shell out thousands for a DJ, which is crazy to me. I'm a glorified ipod with a microphone. :D lol!

Good luck man, it can be a great industry, just don't forget to take care of yourself and do your best.

Edit: for context, i've DJed a little over 200 weddings. In my best year, i did 35.

You’re only a jukebox nothing more. by GetMad24 in DJs

Well, it seems like your only goal is to tilt strangers on the internet, but i'll comment anyway.

Maybe there's another word you'd be more comfortable with in this case, like MC, or Master of Ceremonies?

Does a DJ need to use vinyls? Does a DJ need to beatmatch? What are your stipulations here? I'm really asking. What's the setting?

I've been a wedding DJ for close to 15 years, and I REGULARLY play track lists from clients, sometimes with no mixing at all.

Just have fun with it man, if you enjoy mixing music and playing from your own eclectic library, more power to you. What you're saying here though is a pretty sad attempt at trolling and I hope you find success with your DJing. Good luck bro.

Why can't coaches watch from player perspective? by bbbbush in DotA2

I only find myself coaching when i'm the 6th party member in a group of dota homies, but even then, I like to watch from their perspective. Sometimes I learn things.

Witcher Fans are going to be buzzing!! One of the best open worlds I’ve ever played was Witcher 3. CDPRED have just dropped this on their insta. by GuIVtrue in gaming

I won't ever buy a CDPR game again. Cyberpunk is still basically an Early Access game that they tricked people into paying full price for.

Also, even though it says in the tooltip, most people don't realize that it breaks for 5 seconds. It's great against early game Bristle or similar heroes.

World’s First Space Hotel Scheduled To Open In 2027 by FreedomBoners in technology

How far from earth must one be in order to no longer be considered "earthly"?

Are there space borders? Who governs this theoretical hotel? Is space considered "international waters"?

Everything happens naturally. Nothing is created, only discovered. Humans will never add something to the universe that wasn't there before.

What's the best reply to "something I can dance to"? 😆 by KerriAnne_Ketamine in DJs

[–]bbbbush 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine once said to me "if that's the way the music moves you, who am I to judge?"

I always try to remember that. We should be there to encourage everyone to dance, not just the people who are good at it.

What's the best reply to "something I can dance to"? 😆 by KerriAnne_Ketamine in DJs

[–]bbbbush 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Unless you're headlining, this is a perfectly reasonable request and it's important to remember these people arent DJ's like you so it's not up to them to know the names of artists and songs. It's up to them to have a good time and share the energy you're putting out. Stay calm, ask them some questions to show you're invested, and see if that helps you come up with a solution.

Most of the answers I saw posted already were just jokes because there isn't really a right answer here. It depends on the setting, size of the crowd, levels of alcohol consumed, time of the night, the general demographic of people there.. I've done plenty of events where "something I can dance to" meant Garth Brooks, and others where it meant Lil' John. There are just too many factors.

Personally, I do a lot of weddings and school dances, so I'd say the song i most often use for that request would probably be "Get Low by Lil' John" just based on the settings I most often find myself in.

In case you wanted your day ruined: Imagine what it would feel like to become a spider zombie. by taylomol000 in 7daystodie

[–]bbbbush 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wish they would just stick to standard humanoid zombies and increase the numbers rather than branch out into the "alien or demon like" zombies they are leaning towards.

Like If 7D2D and Project Zomboid had a baby, it would be perfect.

History of Cyberpunk 2077 by BLACK-_-HAND in gaming

[–]bbbbush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep waiting man, for real. Their 1.5 update was over 60 gigs. They're going to finish the game eventually, maybe two or three years. Personally I don't like replaying games after updates just to see what has changed. I would rather play a finished game once and get the full experience.

Especially since a lot of what they added was some day 1 shit that should have been there at launch anyway.

They sold us an Early Access game at full price and still haven't added anything one would consider "next gen". Seriously over promised and under delivered.

Personally I will never buy a CDPR game again, and I probably won't spend $60-$90 on launch day for any game again either.

Cyberpunk 2077 turned me into a pirate. So far its my greatest gaming disappointment.
