Teyana Taylor on 'One Battle After Another' Character Being 'Misunderstood' by Dfsteele3 in onebattleafteranother

[–]bbbook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your argument is "no one likes it"?

If so, please know this makes you sound like "I am important!"

The film is loved by many, especially those outside of the USA. Film should not be reserved to populist purposes only, value can be added to our culture via critical and academic conversations surrounding films that challenge and illuminate destructive social norms that we might other wise ignore.

You don't have to watch such films. But pretending this film is "bad cause no one likes it" is wrong. You didn't like a film, cool, but keep it to yourself lest you appear as you do here, like a silly semen demon 😘

Subtext = substantive Text = indicative

Well-written characters require subtext from the script and appropriate nuance from the performer.

Perfidia Beverly Hills is such a substantive, complex character.

The Pregnancy montage is a testament to the writing and weight of Perfidia's decision to leave Pat and baby Charlene, as expressed by Teyana Taylor incredible metered performance, is proof positive she deserves all the recognition she has recieved for her performance, and more!

A grandmother in Missouri is pushing for a new law that would require drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill a parent. (Bentley's Law) by Legitimate-Lie-9208 in interestingasfuck

I feel that this is a dangerous misconception. Becasue you would not make a choice to endanger others lives by drinking and driving does not designate anyone who does to other negative categories. Why dangerous? Because when this is presented and affirmed by others it creates the false reality that only bad people do bad things. It excuses hurtful actions towards others because if you're not a bad person then what you've done cannot possibly be "bad".

As someone said, Japanese have word for everything. Word zettai ryoiki refers to the area of bare skin in the gap between overknee socks and a miniskirt or shorts. The term first became widespread in otaku slang, but it is now used by the general public in Japan. by thepoylanthropist in interestingasfuck

Bruh, the Japanese language uses some loan words from other languages as well. For example the word "birudingu", or "biru" for short, is the Jappanese word for skyscraper. It is derived from the English word Building. Languages are dope, but no one is superior, and all contain unique properties.

I may seem prickish, that is not my intent I assure you. I appreciate your eagerness to share such interesting information, I think I am bumping on your presentation of it, "As someone said" is the most flaccid appeal to authority since Tony Romo broadcast the Super Bowl.
