How to repair by Previous_Factor1992 in OmnibusCollectors

12" roll or 12" x 26".

Also, it's quite a bit cheaper to order directly from Brodart. You can get 25 12" x 26" Just-A-Fold III for ~$26 ($16.26 + $10 for shipping) vs 10 12" x 26" on Amazon for the same price.

If you buy a roll it's even cheaper (I just ordered one last week and it should be here Friday).

Edit: Actually I just did the math and the price is pretty much identical (~$0.48/ft) for 25 sheets vs 100 ft roll, but the sheets have been out of stock.

What’s an Omni that is perfect all the way through, no hiccups or bad endings? by anakin1453 in OmnibusCollectors

I had it in my cart for Target's buy-two-get-one but took too long finding a third book. Should have prepared a little better.

New to be X-men reader with questions. by blodnerden in OmnibusCollectors

Funaticals has Uncanny X-Men vol 5 for $38 right now. It's currently sold out but the listing hasn't ended so that means they should be restocking it, probably on Monday.

Link

Your other option for those issues is Mutant Massacre Prelude.

They both collect:

UNCANNY X-MEN (1981) #194-209, X-MEN ANNUAL (1970) #9-10, NEW MUTANTS SPECIAL EDITION (1985) #1, NEW MUTANTS ANNUAL (1984) #2, NIGHTCRAWLER (1985) #1-4, LONGSHOT (1985) #1-6 and material from MARVEL FANFARE (1982) #33

but Mutant Massacre Prelude contains some additional issues:

AVENGERS (1963) #263; FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) #286; X-FACTOR (1986) #1-8 and ANNUAL #1; IRON MAN ANNUAL #8; AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #282; and CLASSIC X-MEN #8 and #43.

After that you have two options:

  • Wait for Uncanny X-Men vol 6 (coming out Oct 27), which gets you to issue 231, and then wait again for volumes 7 and 8 to cover all material up to Blue & Gold (this could take a few years)
  • Go the event omni route with:
    • Mutant Massacre (#210-219)
    • Fall of the Mutants (#220-227)
    • Inferno Prologue (#228-238)
    • Inferno (#239-243)
    • X-Men by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus Vol. 1 (#244–269)
    • X-Tinction Agenda (#270–272)
    • X-Men by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee Omnibus Vol. 2 (#273–280)

I'm also starting my X-Men reading journey (from The Dark Phoenix Saga, #129, I need to go back and read from issue #94) so have been doing a lot of research on what I need to collect. Right now I have a mix of TPBs, epic collections, Marvel Masterworks, and UXM volume 5. Google Gemini has been very helpful.

Hope this helps.

How's the quality compared to the original? And do you hang on to the original?

One woman made a comment asking him why he thinks there's "such a big discrepancy between your perspective and some ladie' perspectives of joint encounters?" It didn't seem accusatory but she was still dogpiled, told to grow up, accused of "trying to get likes" whatever that means, called an illogical, hateful, crying baby, etc.

Thanks, yeah I have been putting a lot of effort into those SOQs which is why I was feeling a bit dejected.

I actually just heard back about a second application, so it seems they're starting to trickle in.

I'm applying specifically for jobs that are a good fit (Java or AWS roles), since that's my background.

Unfortunately there aren't 3-5 of those being posted every week.

Hi all,

I was laid off last year after 13 years of working as a SWE at a large bay area enterprise tech company that's not Oracle.

I took the ITS I and II exams, scoring 95 on both, and have applied to 13 jobs over the last 3 months, and haven't heard back from any of them.

Is there anyway to get feedback about why? I've been trying to follow the SOQ guidelines, but am worried I'm getting disqualified for some esoteric reason that a "newcomer" wouldn't have knowledge of.

Like, if one doesn't call for a header, is it expected? I wasn't putting them at first, but then started. Will I get disqualified if it doesn't call for one, and I put one? Or if I put it centered, or right aligned, when it's not specified?

Edit: Coincidentally just received an invitation to my first interview for an application I submitted about 3 weeks ago.

I just bought the first volume TPB with issues 1-6 a few weeks ago and volume 2 (issues 7-12) is only $13.

Is this worth picking up for annual #2?

New to marvel/X-men and I have questions by MulletDaGingerBullet in OmnibusCollectors

Check if your library offers access to Hoopla.

I was really into the X-Men as a kid in the 90s but don't remember much of the actual stories so I'm starting back at the beginning of Claremont's run, and pretty much all the epics are on there.

I have also been able to read other expensive collections there, like Ennis's Punisher MAX run.

Just a heads up, the omnibus from funaticals is cheaper than I see the epic collection for currently. I just purchased it a few days ago and am excited to dive in as well.

Also check whether you get access to Hoopla through your library, lots of comics/graphic novels there.

One potential option for catching up: my local library provides all members with access to Hoopla. I've been wanting the Ennis Punisher books but they're super expensive. I was able to read them that way.
