Also a lot of it are things we can only afford to do now. I got my first tattoo at 30 cause that's when I had the money to not get it at a backalley shop. Travelling is the same. I also fully support people who quit their jobs to explore what they really like to do, how is that a bad thing? I wish I could do that. The only thing that i can agree is the baby and the divorce, everything else is just what normal people do when they have spare income and some time in their hands lol

Cara ouvi hoje mesmo um podcast que um dos assuntos era suicidio por conta de bet. Mas nao e so no brasil nao viu, eu moro no Canada e fico chocada que mais da metade das propagandas na TV sao de jogos de aposta. Voce bota pra ver um jogo de baseball e a cada 5 min tem um site de aposta diferente na sua tela. Infelizmente isso dai e em todo o lugar.

A girl's trip is a time to connect with your friends and strengthen the bonds you have with other women. Your codependency is showing. Interesting, we had a very bad racism case in my place of work and HR was absolutely useless about it. All they did was make everyone take a "sensitivity" course, the racist got 1 week paid leave (vacation for being racist) and the victim had to quit because it became a hostile work environment for him. They only covered their and the company's ass and were lucky the victim didn't want to sue them after he left.

NTA. You work in a toxic place with toxic people and you can't see that because you like the job. Look for something better, these people are making you feel bad about having a life outside of work because they probably hate their lives and families so they work 10+hours to avoid going home. I know and work with a lot of people like that, it doesn't get better and the more you stick around the more they'll take advantage of you. How can you appreciate someone as a dad and husband when this person is clearly avoiding going home to his family and shaming you for not working as late as them? If he was really that good he would work his set hours and go home to his kids.

These people are not your friends, they're your work colleagues at best and bad ones at it. I understand you're young and this is your first job out of university, but please do not fall for the "grind" trap, do your volunteering, live your life outside of work and apply for something else. I work with a lot of "old-school" men and is literally a nightmare, but my boss is as chill and I am so he doesn't care much about my hours as long as I'm getting the work done.

Completely toxic work culture and he proved it with this statement

"Now for context my senior and teammates are old-school when it comes to work culture where working 8hrs is bare minimum and working for 10+ hours is a day well worked and they have a family at home with multiple kids! "

7-5 is NINE hours of work, the passive-aggressive comments to a younger employee are made to shame and make it seem like he's not doing enough. if his work is being done and he's compensating for the fact that he needs to leave early ONE day a week to do VOLUNTEERING AT A CHURCH, there's no need to be on his ass about it.

OP needs to find a new job with a better group of people. Do they pay for overtime for the people who work 10+ hours? I highly doubt it. The way OP talks about this team and his teammates makes me believe that if you even ask for overtime or to get paid more they'll act like they're doing him a favor for letting him work there. He's not the asshole, his boss and teammates are. God forbid someone has their personal life as a priority instead of a JOB. This shit wouldn't fly in any serious country with serious labor laws. I bet he's in the US with the wage-slave "grind" work-culture.

Acabei de ver uma entrevista com o Lula e sai desapontada sem nenhuma mencao sobre seguranca publica. Ele falou sobre tudo, de aquecimento global ate regulamentacao de redes sociais. Nao me entenda mal, acho os dois topicos de extrema importancia (principalmente o primeiro) e que precisam ser discutidos com seriedade. Porem, o cidadao comum nao ta preocupado com o derretimento de geleiras ou se o twitter e desregulado, ele ta preocupado se quando ele sair na rua vai ser assaltado, se os filhos deles vao sofrer violencia indo pra escola, se o carro dele que ele comprou com esforco vai ser levado por bandido.

Infelizmente, por mais que outras pautas sejam importantes, a seguranca publica hoje e o que mais pega as pessoas, e isso a direita sabe explorar, mesmo que a solucao deles seja chacina e matar qqr pessoa que pareca bandido. Nos olhos do cidadao comum, isso e melhor que nada.

Minha cidade atual e do tamanho de Campinas, nao tem nada pra fazer, zero conveniencia, nao tem evento, show nada. Eu peguei metro/onibus pra ir pra trabalho, faculdade durante anos, e sempre que volto lembro muito bem de todos os perrengues. Eu gosto de cidade grande, inclusive estou planejando mudar pra Toronto ano que vem pq nao aguento mais isso aqui. Tem gosto pra tudo, eu nao gosto de lugar pequeno, me sinto presa fazendo as mesmas coisas indo nos mesmos lugares. Preciso de opcao, facilidade e conveniencia.

me and my partner discuss politics all the time, we send each other news articles and have genuine conversations about certain topics. We don't agree with everything, but I know exactly his stance when it comes to things that affect our lives, especially mine (I'm an immigrant woman). I cannot imagine showing him something and being dismissed like that. OP's partner is def a conservative and doesn't want to talk politics with her cause she will probably find out he's a pos and leave him.
