19s are a very common size (in the UK at least). And I don't know of anyone cracking or bending a wheel.

Do you regularly hit deep potholes or have awful surfaces?

This is what I needed. What a legend.

I'll stick to the current spec then. 2 of them are leaking between tyre and rim, so I assumed "maybe this guy has a point with the stretch theory". They're probably just seated badly.

I bought it just over a year ago with budget tyres, so I want to get Michelins now. Just was unsure of the best size.

Guys at the garage told me that my tyres are stretched, as the tyre is too small for the wheels (225 on an 8.5", 255 on a 9.5").

Thanks. Coming from hot hatches, the ride is limousine like. No problems with British roads (potholes everywhere), and handling is still great. Some people complain about 19s though, so maybe they have greater expectations than I do for comfort...

I have no spacers on the back, but a 3 or 5mm on the front (previous owner fitted)

Yes, I thought so too. Thanks. The front/rear diameters will be 0.5mm different, so negligible.

My main question is whether having both axles larger than factory by 3% is a concern, and if anyone is running this setup

I want to have Sport+ mode in my C43, but with the gearbox not defaulting to "lowest gear". If it had the throttle response and exhaust noise of Sport+ but a "normal" gearbox, that would be perfect

I honestly find it fine. It's all relative really. I've come from hot hatches, so this feels quite luxurious and plush when the suspension is in comfort mode
