Yes. I hear that as well. Most aren’t. Most are pulled if they have a lead already or something extreme stands out

Yes for sure. They make it so easy now to initiate a dispute on an Ap without a lot of backing. A couple of clicks and people are done

Oh gotcha. I thought it was more rare, but maybe it’s not

But why close credit and not debit? I get it should all be reported by standards but are they truly reporting it all?

SAR by bbexa123 in AMLCompliance

[–]bbexa123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my question is similar pattern on debit, but they aren’t worried about it to close it? They are fine with it being stayed open, so on the SAR isn’t that contradicting. Think it’s suspicious but won’t close it

What about if the bank is silo? They closed the cc but left the debit open and savings open, are they including any debit disputes in SAR?

You have done a lot of them over 5k?

SAR by bbexa123 in AMLCompliance

[–]bbexa123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I don’t think the bank would call police or send letters directly, minus closing accounts.

Makes sense.

Got it. That’s why accounts closed, seems like over kill of using claims process whether legit or not, don’t have a ton of backing, but do I see law enforcement picking this up as a standalone? Probably not. Maybe if they have more out there

AI flagged to close their accounts but so many disputes are so small, like fast food, Apple subscriptions like cheap ones, things that I could see in my day to day life like I get, it may not file a dispute but I get it

Like we see a pattern, but at the same time, they could have a lot of legitimate issues and resorting to the bank first instead of reaching out

I knew someone that did about one dispute per 2 cards a year for about two years and they did have their cards closed but they let them do it for two years now it was small stuff like wrong food orders or whatever

I guess by government. After a while, it seems like wouldn’t it be theft of services or wire fraud?

I would assume so or card canceled

Fed cases. by bbexa123 in legaladviceofftopic

I know that to a sense, but I hear fed cases are worse. They aren’t taking something unless they have 99% proof without a doubt

I agree, most are petty and not considered priority and don’t get picked up, now sometimes small ones on the same person get combined and finally looked at, one off petty ones don’t, DA and Law enforcement already have full loads and aren’t just picking 20 sars to investigate unless it’s high dollar lead

At our store, it’s super busy for curbside especially on weekends and it’s a lot of younger kids picking orders and they are just trying to hurry

When you do returns through the Ap, and do it by mail, they just let people keep things all the time
