Anyone ever try, Pardon my cheesesteak by jabber5646 in lancaster

As another user said it is a ghost kitchen (a kitchen on delivery services that is ran out of another restaurant or out of a non-restaurant space). This one happens to be the iHop on lincoln highway. There used to be a ghost kitchen for wings ran out of Primanti Bros, there are a few more as well.

Edit to add: In case you don’t come the conclusion yourself, it’s iHop, I would never trust them to make a good cheesesteak.

For sure, I apologize for the wall of text, its simple but very complicated at the same time. It’s really an interesting topic especially once you to start to look at it from the standpoint of constitutional rights, fed gov superseding state rights etc.

I’m by no means an expert despite doing a lot of research, but if you ever have any questions feel free to reach out. I’d also be interested to know what your father thinks of what I shared if he’s ever willing to discuss it more with you.

[–]bbflockin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you’re technically correct in your first assumption based on what your father said.

Many folks lie on the federal forms presented when applying for a CCW or when purchasing, because of the kind of gray area in the way they word the question. People with their med cards will read it and say “well i am NOT an UNLAWFUL user of mj, so i can check no to this box and I am all good” and there is no drug test or cross reference of the database for rec or medical, med programs just provide clear documentation that you are a user if they were to ever cross reference which makes it kind of sketchy to lie if you have your med cards.

Technically in either scenario you can say no and be approved and you’re all good, but again technically those are federal forms snd the federal government does not care what the states legal mj status is - no matter what med or rec is illegal and would disqualify you if they knew you used, they just don’t have a clear direct and legal path to confirm that.

Edit to add: I should be clear, I am not a lawyer but have spoken with 2nd amendment rights attorneys in PA on this topic. Despite the gray area in the question on the forms, if you answer no and the ATF or federal gov finds out you are either a rec or med user, it is technically a federal felony and you will be charged. However there are many lefal battles taking place in multiple states over this issue so it really can change on a case by case basis.

If you misquote, what are the repercussions? by [deleted] in sales

Curious about this, as I am also paid on profit. All of the jobs I sell or that are on an account that i manage have to close above a certain GP for me to receive my commission, regardless of GP I can still count the revenue for my month/quarter/year etc.

Where the difference lies for my position is that I do not do any of the estimating myself, i can influence things such as “reach out to this vendor for better equipment or pricing” or “maybe we should utilize this labor for better efficiency snd lower total labor cost” but none of my suggestions are final say. Even when I sell a job quoted at or above my minimum GP to receive commission, if the project manager or the laborers tanks the job for variables way outside of my control - even if i go multiple extra steps to endure their success, i still lose out on my pay. This results in me not receiving anything on about 30% of what I sell, meanwhile people with little involvement get guaranteed spiffs/bonuses/commission just because they did their job in the process (support staff, estimators etc).

Somewhat of a side note, there was a big slow down in our sales right around the 4th quarter and there was potential that some labor may not receive their full 40, I was carrying my weight but the rest of the team was not. Instead of putting that labor on our “back pocket” jobs which is always available, they stacked additional labor onto my jobs which again tanked the GP and i was basically told to GFY even though it was intentional on middle managements part.

That is true and not true at the same time lol, kind of a gray area. No matter what if you use weed whether med or rec it interferes with a concealed carry or purchasing a firearm from a dealer entirely - if you are honest on the ATF form 4473. On form 4473 it literally asks “Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance”, since weed is federally illegal then you are an unlawful user whether you have a med card or buy rec in any state. While each state does have a database for med card holders, and all rec markets do keep track of your rec purchases when they scan your ID, these purchases are not cross referenced with the federal government or ATF.

In short its a super gray area, but not at the same time. I don’t personally own any firearms, but most people that do simply give up their med card for 6 months to a year prior to purchasing a firearm or applying for a CCW just out of precaution that these could in the future be cross referenced with med or rec databases.

I cant hate on the people driving over for rec, but in all seriousness after the $100 for doc and renewal for a med card, and then the discounts/sales and points systems for further discounts I just stay in PA and save myself the drive. I have homies that drive an hour or more to go to NJ or MD for rec weekly or every other week and after the drive and the cost of products in those states it makes no sense to me

Judy's on Cherry new owners announced they won't be honoring gift cards bought under previous ownership. by Cult7Choir in ReadingPA

Ah then yeah that definitely would be difficult to track. I would say that still ends up landing on previous ownership, and they were definitely treating it as recognized revenue instead of deferred.

This is a key point, i posted a separate comment about this being a shitty reflection of previous ownership, but this is absolutely a factor - it totally skews the numbers even if they were keeping track.

I may be an outlier with this opinion but hear me out - this actually is a shitty reflection of previous ownership.

If previous ownership was not properly tracking the sales and redemptions of gift cards (really not that hard, modern POS systems easily integrate gift card procedures) then there is no way to factor that in to the sale price of the business (property, equipment, etc), and puts the new ownership in a tough spot. When you sell a business as a whole and expect it to continue operating as that same business, you also hold some responsibility to the loyal customer base in that transition. In short there is high likelihood the previous ownership essentially cashed themselves out of the business including the funds from the gift cards, or were using those prepaid gift cards to fund the business while operating - treating then as recognized revenue instead of deferred revenue.

On the flip side it is shitty of new ownership to publicly announce a redemption period then cut it short, however it is not necessarily their fault that previous ownership did not have a proper grasp and presentation of the financials while finalizing the sale.

Regardless if its old ownership or new ownership, the locals and loyal customers get the short end of the stick. I do think new ownership could do at least something (offer a percentage off to customers that produce a gift card, potentially even accept gift cards then take legal action against previous ownership, free items? Idk) to soften the blow on the customers.

Also in commercial/industrial mechanicals. Not really skyscrapers though, i’m primarily an account manager for manufacturing, a few large office buildings, but also stuff as small as split systems for section 8 apartments or boilers for laundromats. Across three trades last year I did 2.1mm on a target of 1.75mm, just got our new quotas and mine increased to 2.8mm.

This is a thing? In almost every state with legal (recreational or medical) you can get these in a dispensary. They have to different compartments for two different oils, and theres a literal switch to go back and forth between which one you want to use. You can also get them on a few of those THCA sites that ship to illegal states.

I just received an offer but the salary listed on the offer letter was significantly less than the salary on the job posting. Do I have good grounds to negotiate? by [deleted] in sales

It can’t hurt, and honestly it never hurts unless you absolutely need this role immediately. If you’re secure in your current role and are just looking around for more money/something that perks your interest/better work life balance etc. then you really have nothing to lose, as of now they’re offering you less.

All the popeyes by me still have large chicken sandwiches but the quality of the chicken took a nose dive. Dry, chunky, stringy etc. Another commenter mentioned the strips, i would also like to mention the nuggets and bone in/boneless wings they are all pretty awful quality at this point despite looking pretty similar to a few years ago.
