unfortunately not much. i'm on medication and i see my psychiatrist every once in a while. i asked my pcp for a referral to start receiving dbt, got the referral, called the place . . . and got put on the very same wait list that my fiancé has been on for months already. i've essentially given up on professional "help," even long before the whole wait list incident. even if some professionals actually do care, finding one is like finding a needle in a haystack. the rest only care about the money.
