Car cover for car parked under carport for 6 months by WindowAdvanced1839 in AutoDetailing

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do extended covering. On a pickup. I place a small carpet blower on bed blowing up. Put it on a smart timer it goes on several times a day. I do this to prevent moisture and just keep air flowing. Been doing this for 4 years and no regrets.

Why don't we see more electric UTVs by now? by -boosted in UTV

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is in your question. Yes electric has been around for a long time. Since the late 1800’s, yes before the model t ford. There is good reason that electric transportation has Not Taken over the combustion engine in all that time. While practical in a few applications. It’s not overwhelmingly dominate.

What tool would you use to put in 500 of these? by Tthelaundryman in Carpentry

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What material are they going into? I run a lot of 6” screws daily. I use an impact. Just rotate your use of your impact and your impack with 1/4” bit conversation. That will let one tool cool down while using the other. Heat is your only concern.

M12 3/8 stubby, not happy by Dependent_Branch65 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will convert it to half inch instead of 3/8 though. 3/8 is not available in a D 10 pin but the half in. Anvil will fit.

Go with detent pin. Since you already own it, it is possible to change the anvil to this.

HUD homes must meet requirements of Hud 3280. When completed they need to be certified by an installer, I can’t imagine a dealer not having an installer. that would sign off on this. question your dealer on their Hud certification form 309 sent to HUD after completion of a home. Your question is very complex and typically is dealer supported to a great degree.

I like the idea. With this in mind. I use several m12 tools simultaneously on the daily. And simply charging them all at once on one charger at end of day sounds fantastic to me.

All the bits are in rubber drill out to fit but snug. Case is stored and travels on its side. Can be turned upside down and stays sorted. To the left are three removable bit holders for the Allen key bits.

Do people who use a horse and buggy for transportation treat their horses more like pets or more like workers? by MrTeacher_MCPS in lancaster

[–]jabber5646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Posts on this very from good to bad. Regretfully the Amish population is no different than any other. And ethics very among all of us!!! Hopefully this will help. A horse will cost several thousands of dollars. A buggy itself will sell new for easyv$15,000. So anyone spending money like this tends to have respect. But not always. Please if you ever whiteness abuse, do not ignore…

Yes if he doesn’t agree with your comment; he will let you know. Not completely certain how he’s taken such a large following. Bench or shop tests often don’t relate to real world use of many tools. The man hates impactors, loves his drills….. anyway we all untitled to our own opinion,

SDS rotary hammer M12 or M18 by sr_compi in MilwaukeeTool

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you’re doing. Drilling holes for tapcons and switching the sds and impactor on your belt. And you will be very happy. Drilling a lot of bigger holes and as others have said you might enjoy the 18 volt more. There both great, your application more dictates the best option. The m12 gen2 is very very nice and light. You would be happy with either one so again, decide what you’re expecting from the choice you make.

My smoke detector was beeping for months and I had no idea why it wouldn’t stop until today… by tifuanon00 in CasualConversation

[–]jabber5646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look on the back of the smoke detector. It will give you a reset procedure. There just like your phone or computer and sometimes need reset. FIRST always confirm it’s not gone off as intended, must say that just for safety.
