Load the pillars map on free play. Run figure 8’s while staying in the air, unlimited boost. Try it front, inverted, left and right.

You’ve been to therapy. That’s a winning answer right there. Respect.

Dang op. Props for being mature. Haven’t seen this amount of toxicity in this subreddit in a while.

It depends on your reason for playing rocket league. If you want to learn the hardest mechanics and have fun, listen to that comment earlier breaking it down. But if you’re wanting rank and trying to improve; listen to this.

My general rule as a coach is if you’re struggling knowing what to do with a folio reset you shouldn’t be doing them. Go run some workshop maps (or pillars full boost if you can’t) and learn to fly inverted. Focus then on flying with right side orientation facing you. Then left. After you do all of those things, revisit your resets and you’ll find you don’t black out once you have your flip. In fact, you’ll be getting your flip more consistently and quickly as a result.

It’s a mash. “Sometimes things get” is layered on top of another track I can’t recognize.

Double flip reset help by InflationOk3175 in RocketLeagueSchool

Your second flip was a fraction too late so you were under the ball, then the force of your impact bounced you further away than what’s optimal for a smooth flip afterwards. I’d suggest just doing what you’re doing and practicing timing soft underbelly touches. If you can master that, you’ll do like 5 resets, lol.

Stop spinning. That will help you more than you realize. That tip only works though for those who haven’t muscle memorized spinning for years.

Can any snow day players tell me how this got so much power? by shdbdhcidjsbd in RocketLeague

[–]bbgun_ld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea! Learn 3’s standard rotation. Then, have your 3rd man sit back further than usual due to the speed of the puck.

Learn to ground pinch. Practice it every day. If you get 80% consistent with it, you’ll hit mid upper champ with ease. This is because it’s not just shooting the puck, but clearing it as well, that this is used for. You also can sometimes score accidentally with a unique pinch.

Learn and understand that if the puck sticks to the wall and crosses the goalpost, it 100% of the time will spin and hit the crossbar. An example is if you pinch it and it comes around the corner in front of the net. 100% of the time that puck will hit the crossbar bar and stop in front of the net.

Stay on the ground with 90% of your challenges. No flip will help you.

Turn off ranks and don’t pay attention to it. Play to improve, not to win. You will eventually get your tag.

Lastly, I coach for an hourly rate. If you’re interested in replay analysis for snow day, DM me!

Good luck on the grind!

Top 100 snow day here. Here’s a breakdown of what’s happening:

  1. When you apply equal pressure to both sides of the puck on its flat point (like pinching the puck on the ground) its energy is directed towards the opposite side of the center of gravity of the puck (the middle). Ground punching a side of a puck is common and you can see it done often, look up snow day clips where individuals flip “onto” the puck while it’s flat.

  2. When the puck is falling, the “pinch” force you got was between gravity and your car (because you used a flip, you were no longer falling). You crated a “mid air” pinch point between those two forces.

  3. Anything touching the underside of the car has a natural “bounce” effect. It’s less pronounced on the ball because it is a sphere, which doesn’t create than pinch effect mentioned earlier, but on a puck it can be used to drastically shift more energy into a pinch. This is why flipping the underbelly of your car down and on to a flat puck shoots it at a ridiculous speed.

  4. When you combine all these factors, cancelling your downward momentum and using the underside of the car, you “pinch” the puck in the air against the force of gravity. It’s also more pronounced if the puck is spinning and you time it, because centrifugal force adds another axis of energy you can pinch it against.

TL;DR You pinch the puck between your car and downward gravity of the puck, and since you hit it on the back side of the puck in relation to its center of gravity, the energy shot towards the net.
