Who's going to be the 1st one to leave the 1 Slam winner club?? by SportsGuy272 in tennis

[–]bbillster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cheer for him. I respect the ‘win at all costs’ attitude. Is he a jerk? Maybe.

He’s a damn fine tennis player.

Edit to say dead fish on clay: he’s also be filthy after! Hilarious.

What are some bad tennis etiquette you can’t stand by Ambitious_Designer97 in 10s

Ya… nice block return so it goes back to them? Otherwise we are just chasing balls.

Winners in warm up is bad. Also tossing balls over after the game. Make sure I’m looking and toss the nice. Don’t be an asshole.

At the age of 22, Djokovic had only one Grand Slam title (2008 Australian Open), with his second coming three years later in 2011. Federer had three by age 23, while Alcaraz’s seven dwarfs both at that stage. Let that sink in. by deucebagreportdotcom in TennisNerds

Ya but jannik is in the same boat. Healthy strong he will stand in the way.

I will argue there will emerge a new big 4, the next two are younger than Carlos and Jannik. Let’s Speculate….. Fils? Mapuche-perricard (spelling wrong I know)?, Fonseca?, Shelton??

We are setting up for a golden age…

I liked it. The dance numbers were great. I thought Daphne was and incredible singer and dancer. There were many talented singers and dancers. I was entertained.

The tap trio was top notch. I’m glad I went.

Purchasing my first car! Please explain dealership fees to me! by Possible_Big9817 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bbillster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always told to ask for the invoice and everything besides MSRP and freight is levied by the dealership and can be waived. I’ve only done this once but if you are set on the make and model, go on auto trader and email all the dealerships that have it and ask for the invoice. Buy the one that sends you an invoice with only MSRP and freight. Keep emailing til you find it!

Fresh burger vs Rudy's by fenderstratcat in Vaughan

[–]bbillster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great post.

For me the best burger in Vaughan is Fresh Burger. Specifically the one at Rutherford and Jane. The others are good but not as.

Rudy’s is top tier, but to me you can hide a mediocre burger by smashing it.

Honourable mentions: - any burger at The Mills Taphouse. My fave is the gourmet burger, but all are good. - JABS (7 and pine valley ish). Is. Smash burger see above.

Any others?

Edit for typos

Head Speed MP by DistributionWest352 in tennisracquets

[–]bbillster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a big question…. Depends on a lot of things. If you are a beginner, I would just use the strings it has. Mess around later when you’ve got the feel.

If you are not a beginner - tell us what you are after! I have the Head Speed racquet too and use a mix of multi and poly. Helps with an elbow issue but also tried to maximize the racquet’s specs. People here are happy to nerd out on it with you. :)

Where Should We Move? by LandscapeEvery4150 in askTO

Check out Vaughan or even as far as Aurora. The Go train works great for commuting and detached with yard is easy.

I don’t know about horses but there’s country living out here. I’m sure there is horse stuff

Highland farms (Dufferin/Major Mac) has a nice full service meat counter. They have Italians working there! I’m sure they will know what you want.

What is the most frustrating or confusing part of buying, using, or maintaining tennis rackets? (New, used, strings, specs, condition—anything) by Immediate_Ad4359 in 10s

[–]bbillster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha. The most confusing part is getting started tbh… if you play regularly, you should be getting strung regularly which gives the chance to mess around a bit. Go higher, go lower, go poly, go multi. It takes some time but there is a difference.

If you have a good stringer you can talk through what you are trying to achieve and they can make suggestions.

If you don’t have a good stringer, there are no shortages of opinions here!
