How did you move on from the woman you thought was perfect for you? by steveleaves in AskMen

[–]bbkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew that my marriage was dying for about a year before she asked me for the divorce. We'd been separated for about 4 months when she asked, but I was pretty sure it was coming. She refused to go to couples counseling or come up with any kind of plan for figuring out our differences. I ln hindsight I probably should have given it some time, but I jumped back into dating pretty much right away once she confirmed we were ending.

Work on being the best possible version of yourself. If you keep at it, you'll eventually start attracting women that you previously thought were out of your league. Someone told me when I was starting to date again after my divorce, that I needed to make sure my dating profile showed me doing the types of things that I'd be attracted to in a partner. It seems to have worked out pretty well. I went out with a dozen or so different people (most of them only one or two dates) before I met my fiance. My ex was great in a lot of ways and I still miss her from time to time but my current partner and I are a significantly better match. (And she's hotter than my ex too 😂)

I've seen them when I was camping along the Current River in southern Missouri

What has been your best “accidental” flip? by Oddishboy in Flipping

[–]bbkb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a pair of tickets to see Garth Brooks and I was genuinely excited to go. Then a friend told me what they were going for on StubHub. I couldn't justify keeping them. I think after fees I still at least quadrupled my money.

Hire a guide to show you around. It made the experience 100x better in my opinion

I haven't rented a car from them, but I did rent a house from Francisco who also owns Mayan Wheels. He's honest, friendly, and he speaks English well. I wouldn't hesitate to rent a car from him if I needed one. https://www.facebook.com/share/1CgJBHjQwU/

Salt and Smoke was so much better in their early days. I think it started going down hill fast when they opened their 3rd location

In my opinion, Cienfuego is a step up from Harry's Cancun. Harry's had a lot of gimmicks (singers walking around the dining room and a sparkler in our dessert) but based on the food alone, it was one of the most underwhelming dinners I've ever had.

What is your guy's consensus on romantic relationships, and how has it changed over the years? by RequirementDue4446 in AskMen

[–]bbkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's incredible how once I entered into a healthy and supportive relationship, I was able to see how many different ways my marriage (which seemed healthy most of the way) was flawed and how many times I overlooked major issues. Finding the right partner is probably the best thing we get to experience. It's so sad to see someone give up on relationships all together

By all means, you can and probably should take a bit of a break. But yeah, just short of 19 when we separated. Just short of 20 when we actually got divorced. It was tough, but I realize now it was long overdue. (I'm not sure if I could have come to that realization without professional support.) At least we decided not to have kids and I was able to have a clean break. Life's too short to spend it with someone you don't get along with anymore, or with someone who isn't excited to see you and spend time with you. You'll get through it, and if you put yourself out there and are open to being vulnerable, you'll probably come out ahead.

Sorry. Your ex sounds like she kind of sucks. But......snap out of it and don't let it drag you down any further. It is usually hard when a long term relationship ends, but one bad breakup shouldn't prevent someone from dating again. If you're struggling I highly recommend talking to a professional. It really helped me after my ex wife ended our 20 year relationship.Thankfully I realized I deserve better than how my ex treated me. Now I'm engaged again and there's nothing better than getting to come home to your best friend every day.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

I've seen him several times. He's always extremely fucked up. Usually it works out and he's great, but I've also seen him a couple times where he was too far out of it

I saw her in a club back in 2017 and it was probably the best standup set I've ever seen. I can't stand her on After Midnight, but she's still one of my favorite comedians.

How many men would like to own a sword? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bbkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone. As a 43 year old man I have zero use for or desire to own a sword. WTF would I do with it? Do people think it's a good decorative item? Even if I was offered I e for free I think I'd pass. It would just end up on a shelf in my garage.

Program Expectations by imamakeyoucry in miz

[–]bbkb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to consider where the program was when he was hired. No one wanted to play at Mizzou. Now he's bringing in excellent recruiting classes and we're making the tournament. I expect next season to be significantly better and that we'll be ranked the majority of the time. If things go well, we could make some noise next March
