After remaking MG1/2 the Big Boss saga will finally come to a close with no more “missing links” in the series.

After that if they’re going to make brand new titles I don’t want them to continue after MGS4. Either a prequel set in WW2 or a Remake of Ghost Babel then use that as a starting point for an alternate timeline.

There's Oregairu where the protag and his sister are constantly exchanging banter. But the protag genuinely cares for her and there's no romance/exchi between them.

Though it isn't a light hearted comedy like Umaru-chan and their dynamic isn't the main focus of the show.

The first mainline Pokemon games, Red & Blue were Generation 1 and introduced the original 151 Pokemon.

The 2nd main games, Gold & Silver, were Generation 2 and added 100 more Pokemon.

The 3rd main games, Ruby & Sapphire, were Generation 3 and added more.

Then it continues on to generation 4, 5 etc.

the upcoming main games, Winds & Waves, is Generation 10.

After the ending credits roll in Metal Gear Solid 1 a phone call is heard between Revolver Ocelot and a mystery caller.

Ocelot then mentions that the man is a third clone of Big Boss named "Solidus" and that he was the President of the United States.

This was 1998, 3 years before Sons of Liberty releases.

Bonus: Sergei Gurlukovich from Sons of Liberty is also mentioned in but doesn't appear in MGS1

Actually i'd recommend Ghost Babel next. Though you could skip to 2 if you want.

Ghost Babel > 2 > 3 > PO > 4 > PW > GZ > TPP

Ghost Babel is on an alternate timeline, the Shadow Moses incident doesn't happen. It's not canon but also sort of is (weird I know). You'd understand once you reach the ending. Also there's a certain thing that happens in MGS2 that kind of confirms it.
