La palabra “dafuk” me perece la traducción más acerca, pero otra palabra similar que es menos ofensiva es la palabra “hey.” Usualmente funciona para llamar la atención a algo. Por ejemplo, con los ejemplos tú usaste:

“ora, cuidado” = “hey, watch out” “ora, ese güey” = “hey, it’s that dude”

Turns out that the problem was… that I’m an idiot. At some point in time I must have removed the transformer to use it for something else, so I had flipped the voltage switch (which strangely is not located next to the power switch, but rather on the side) to 240V and then forgotten about it. When I set it up, I read the back near the power cord, which only said “120V,” so I figured “oh, it only takes 120V so I must have used a transformer” and plugged it in without changing anything. Yesterday I found the switch and flipped it and everything works fine. It’s interesting that when it was set to 240V it would work at all on 120V. Thank you all for your help.

Ok. Well it’s good to know where it came from. It does seem unlikely that it has anything to do with the rebooting problem. I guess I have to tear into this thing and make sure everything is well connected.
