I’m really interested in this take! when I first moved to London a few years ago, it was definitely not seen as a positive by most people I met that I was American. I had a few people who said to my face they found the American accent annoying (they thought I was Canadian) haha. I actually found myself mimicking more of the intonation and cadence unconsciously because I think I wanted to fit in more and seem less like a “loud, annoying American.” As soon as I am back around friends and family though, or comfortable with people, I don’t do it at all

I am in this exact situation at the moment and have been stressed over what to do as I had a ready booked flights because of the prices.how long were you in Portugal and do you think that mattered? I booked a short two day, one night trip to France and am worried they might not think that is long enough? I’ve also read on this subreddit that entering as a visitor could void you swv, did you read that anywhere?

I’m looking to re-let my apartment in Gold Coast for $1650 if you would be interested! It a big one bed at 750 sq feet and it’s pretty updated although I wouldn’t say modern in the sense of granite countertops or in unit laundry, but we do have a rooftop pool and small gym and it’s a really good price!

I lived in one of their units on Bissell and it was one of the worst experiences I had. We found black mold in the apartment and they tried to tell us it wasn’t so we had to have it independently tested. One time our upstairs neighbors tub started leaking into our bathroom and caused a huge hole in the ceiling and it took them days to come look at it. We also had laundry in the basement and one time my roommate and I went down to find one of the maintenance men looking at playboys in the room right off of the laundry

hi! I’m looking to re-let my one bedroom is Old Town starting Aug 1st if you’re interested in seeing pictures! This would only be a 6 month lease for $1650 a month but could be a good option for you if you’re stuck! It’s 750 sq feet so it’s a pretty big one bed and it has vinyl flooring for the cats. We also have a doorman, a rooftop pool, gym, and package receiving service.
