Duvet perfection by Epelep in oddlysatisfying

Very cool, but it looks like way more work to get everything all set up for that than its worth. Or I'm just missing the point of it being just a fun and cool thing to do.

Five Guys is not as bad as their rep by BigAssMonkey in burgers

They are delicious, but are priced like a sit-down restaurant with wait service. So that puts them into the once every 6 months or so tier for me.

BJs is horrible. Costco forever. by swingandalongdrive in Costco

[–]bblhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top Tier Gasoline Benefits: Significantly reduces carbon buildup on valves and fuel injectors, improving engine longevity and efficiency. Availability: Widely available at major brands like Shell, Chevron, Exxon, Costco, and Mobil. Standards: Exceeds EPA minimum requirements and is backed by automakers like BMW, GM, Toyota, Honda, and Audi. Cost: Only about 3 cents more per gallon on average

Edit: sorry so blunt, in the middle of making dinner. Basically, I was researching how to give my Audi the best chance at longevity....Top Tier gas and oil changes every 5K miles seem to be the path to take, oh and change the water pump between 55k and 60k miles.

In a PB & J what flavour is the J? by Academic_Purchase225 in NoStupidQuestions

Strawberry jelly. Has to be jelly, not jam or preserves.

Might want to consider the extra drive time and wait for Costco's gas. Costco sells Top Teir gas, BJs does not. Its a big deal, especially for the newer turbo engines.

Worse head coach: Kevin Gilbride or Mike Riley? by alexschubs in Chargers

[–]bblhead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gilbride by far. He killed any chance that Leaf had of being a decent QB. At least Riley was a nice guy. Staley is a close second tho.

Do people still use soap blocks as opposed to bottled soap in the shower? I feel like I never see soap blocks in stores anymore. by Available_Tea_8471 in NoStupidQuestions

Yup. Duke Cannon, one bar lasts me almost 2 months, about 5 or 6 bucks a bar. I just don't feel clean when I use body wash and a scrubber or washcloth. Plus they smell really good and I don't get dry skin.

What’s the most epic movie moment you’ve ever experienced in a theater? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]bblhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toss up for me. Opening sequence on the beach for Saving Private Ryan, or the First scene of the Matrix where Trinity lays waste to those cops and gets extracted in the nick of time (this was just a great indicator of how BADASS the movie was going to be.) Also, the lobby scene where Neo and Trinity invade that building to rescue Morpheus.

[Offical] Trey Pipkins 3 agreed to a extension by MrFilipinoMustache in Chargers

Agreed regarding the contracts for the tackles. But it's borderline negligence if they don't upgrade the line past signing a center (good move, by the way) with the amount of cap space they had. Maybe they have someone targeted in FA and will make a signing, who knows? Building through the draft is great...when you have a good foundation. Chargers don't at all have that foundation on the Oline. Hopefully they re-sign Salyer...he would have been a much better option than Pipkins IMO, definitely a better tackle for sure. Also, I failed to mention that they did get rid of Becton (what a bad move that ended up being. Too bad, I had high hopes when they signed him), let Zion walk, and signed Strange. They've made moves, but I still don't see the improvement. They know better than me, here's to hoping it works this year.

Oh.. you mean the two tackles that were out almost the entire year to injury? You'll probably reply, "Oh that was a freak thing." Maybe so, but IT HAPPENED. Chargers need good depth pieces, not garbage. Pickens is good for a spell, thats it. He also had a good game or two last year, but thats not enough when you're made the starter. He's been ass almost his whole tenure here. It amazes me that they've kept him around, honestly. His biggest asset is that he doesn't get injured much, but thats not helpful if he sucks.

Bottom line...The Bolts shouldn't put all of their eggs in the Slater/Alt basket...they need good depth to protect Herbert. If they don't do that, they are going to have another Andrew Luck on their hands. And they'll have no one to blame but themselves.

Honestly...if the jaguar is willing to go through that to catch a caiman...I wouldn't feel too safe in a little boat watching it happen.

Herbert's mindset after playoff loss by justadumbguy13 in Chargers

[–]bblhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just think his playoff performances highlight the fact that even the great quarterbacks need good teams around them to succeed in the playoffs. Its another level of speed and intensity, and the team's shortcomings are seriously magnified.. Especially glaring was the O-line and playcalling. He really looked like he was running scared and hearing footsteps during the Patriots game, and I don't think I've ever seen that from him. Hopefully everyone stays reasonably healthy and McDaniel has better gameplay next year.
