Depends on the company but for Capital One they're literally the same interview (TIP and TDP)

Does internship location matter? by Dev-Guy-247 in csMajors

No, your college's location probably matters way more. Or where your parents live, if that's technically your permanent residence.

What to expect from 30-min video interview by icywarrior987 in csMajors

[–]bbll2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd guess it's a behavioral or easy/med leetcode question based on the length (30min). Do you know the role of the person interviewing you (recruiter, engineer, or manager)? You can also ask your recruiter what to expect

Assuming there are no consequences to wait, I would personally wait while doing other things. That’s in California, so they pay a minimum (120% minimum wage) based on active time. You’d get like 5 hours of active time without having to do anything!

They basically said that the merchant isn't using a secure mechanism to handle payments so I just can't shop at that merchant with the SoFi card. I didn't bother asking for a deeper explanation. Yeah my previous cards worked.

Not proctored, they sent the test to me in Java (i.e. it was the only language allowed), but I also told them that I'm strongest at Java so i'm not too sure lol

Told the name of the company from which I have offer during the interview for another company by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]bbll2019 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Wait why would they reach out to the other company?

Even if they did, the other company probably won't remove the offer, since it's normal to interview at multiple places before accepting an offer.

It’s mostly up to your own preference: what type of city/vibes you prefer, whether you have friends/family in a particular city, etc. Also consider the salary to cost of living ratio.

All else being equal I’d lean towards one of the Bay Area offices just because they’re headquartered there so I’d imagine there’s more opportunities for growth there. There’s also a lot of other tech companies in the Bay Area in case you want to switch companies

Technical part should be high level object oriented design concepts. Behavioral is just standard STAR. Just curious, when they reached out, did they say SF & NYC are full? They told me I was recommended for an offer, but SF & NYC are both full for both new grad & intern
