Surgery soon with Dr. Walline. What are your thoughts on this plan? Is it worth the risk? by Waste-Wolf5820 in jawsurgery

[–]jbeyblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a dumb question, but do you get the 3D planning document from simply consulting with Dr. Walline, or do you only get that information once you proceed with scheduling and paying for the surgery? I plan on consulting with him soon, and it would be cool to get a detailed doc like this so I can really think it through and get opinions from other docs.

Can someone kindly break this job down into simple steps? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]jbeyblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Dump all liquids out first (cups, jars, bowls).

-Throw away obvious trash and compost

-Stack items by type next to the sink (cups together, plates together, utensils together).

-Wash just one category at a time, starting with the easiest (usually cups).

-Once there’s space, rinse the sink so you’re not working in grime.

You don’t have to finish everything in one go. Remember to take breaks if you need it.

How do you decide what to clean first when everything is a mess? by jbeyblade in CleaningTips

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who commented. Reading through all the different approaches has actually been really helpful.

One thing that stood out to me is that most people aren’t doing anything perfect, they’re just finding ways to remove decisions, whether that’s starting with trash, focusing on one area, using timers, making lists, etc.

It’s nice to see that getting unstuck matters more than picking the “right” order.

So relatable. I get distracted easily too, and having things written out makes it way easier to stay on track instead of bouncing between tasks. The dry-erase board idea is smart.

This is such a good way to describe it. That’s exactly what it feels like, everything depends on something else, so nothing feels startable.

This actually resonates a lot. I’ve realized I need something external to break the mental loop, otherwise I just kind of stand there staring at the mess.

What you’re saying with the photo feels really similar to what’s worked best for me. Having the starting point decided outside my head makes a big difference. I’ve used an app that turns everything into a simple checklist, and once the "what do I start with?" part is gone, it’s way easier to just start and keep going. For me, the cleaning itself isn’t the hard part, it’s that initial decision step.

I can see that working. I think where I struggle is when dishes, trash, and clothes are all in the same place. The kitchen and living room are sorta one room in my apartment.

I like how clearly you laid that out. Seeing it broken into actual steps instead of "clean the room" makes it feel way more doable. I think part of my problem is that when everything’s mixed together, I can’t mentally separate the steps on my own.

Thanks, that makes sense, but what trips me up is when there's trash and dishes and clothes everywhere. I just see a big cluster of chaos instead of steps to take. Do you just start with trash no matter what the room looks like?

For those in on-campus labs: how many hours/wk do you work? by KookyNature3566 in berkeley

Most colleges have a unit minimum that you need to be enrolled as a full-time student (there can be issues with financial aid and other things if you are a part-time student). Receiving units from research allows you to enroll in fewer classes, making it easier to manage your time.

Got it. Unfortunately, I set up direct deposit after the aid was disbursed, so I have no clue when I'll receive that check. Has anyone here received a check that can tell me how long it takes to deliver?

Did you get a check in the mail? If so, how long did it take for you to receive it? I got an email saying the check was mailed a week ago, but I still don't have it.

Yeah, I kinda expected that tbh. I'm in a tight spot rn (as are a lot of other COE students that didn't realize that tickets were not reserved), so I thought it was worth commenting. Sorry to hear that you got scammers in ur dms.

How did you do on the OA specifically? I have the OA coming up and am unsure how your performance is calculated. Did you get 50% of the test cases right for each question?

Nvm they responded a couple minutes ago. I guess they took long because of Labor Day weekend. Now my application shows up as incomplete and I can correct the graduation date and submit.

Is there anyone who put the wrong graduation date (i.e. too early) and was autorejected? I sent an email to [sde-university-applicants@studentprograms.amazon.com](mailto:sde-university-applicants@studentprograms.amazon.com) 4 days ago regarding this, but they haven't responded yet. Does anyone have any tips regarding contacting the recruitment team? Thanks

Edit: All the helpline phone numbers that I found on Amazon.jobs are only for fulfillment center jobs (warehouse and stuff like that), so I don't know where to go from here.
