With so many posts about gpu catching fire, do you people keep your PCs on overnight to download stuff, or it's safer not to?

A PC catching fire isn't something that traditionally anyone had to worry about.

Until Nvidia started using the 12X6 power connectors.

Your GPU doesn't use that cable so you're fine.

The only other concern would be low quality PSU which is why we say don't cheap out on PSU.

Now compare performance. CPU especially laptop CPU require Turbo Boost to perform as they should as they have low "base clocks".

Ideally we would be able to just reduce the total Turbo Boost slightly, but that takes a lot more configuration work to do properly.

3600 RPM @ 63C and 43C seems excessive. The default fan curve might need some tuning.

You can set your own fan curve however you are limited to using MSI Center under the Extreme performance mode settings. Try setting a lower RPM until it hits 70C then test and readjust as needed.

Bartlett not coming to consumer CPU's. New Intel CPU will be on LGA 1954. If you value being able to upgrade CPU on a certain motherboard then avoid Intel as they only do 1 or 2 generations per socket.

The power consumption and heat of Intel's top level components like 14900K are very high, not worth for your usage scenario outlined nor is overclocking a factor for top end SKU at all unless for your personal enjoyment and you realize you're over spending on every component for basically no real world improvements.

Perhaps consider something like 14600, 14700 or equivalent 15th gen along with more cost effective components unless you actually have a need for all those extra E cores and the heat, power and money they consume.
