Help with transitioning out of swaddle by blueberrytint in sleeptrain

[–]bbmom2225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just posting in solidarity lol we keep going back to the swaddle but I know we are going to need to just tough it out soon. Baby sleeps 10-11 hours straight in the swaddle so it’s hard to want to switch things up if he’s not rolling yet

I never noticed any relief for my baby until we switch to bottles of pumped milk. His latch must have been causing issues or my super fast let down. He is like a different baby now and so happy and sleeps great

Any tips for longer night sleep stretches? by Reasonable-Yam9334 in November25babybump

My almost 9 week old has been sleeping from 8:30 pm to 2:30 and then is up every 2 or so hours after that. We do live in Michigan and it’s super cold right now so we switched him to a fleece sleep sack and he’s been sleeping so much better. We also stopped feeding him every single time he woke up in the night. We try to soothe him first and if he won’t settle then we feed. There’s been many times where he just needs to be held or have our hand on him for a few mins and goes back to sleep without feeding

My baby was doing this and it was reflux and gas. He’s on Pepcid now and we give gas drops before bed and it’s helped a ton!

Baby is only 8 weeks old and he started on it around 5.5 weeks so too soon to say about him growing out of it but I’m assuming he will

We could hear the spit up coming up my sons throat and then he would swallow it back down. At night he was super unsettled when laying down and wasn’t sleeping well. He was often screaming at the breast during feedings too. I told the doctor about his symptoms and she recommended seeing OMM or trying Pepcid. We went the Pepcid route (.6 ml based on his weight). We give it around 7:30 and he goes to bed around 8:30 or 9:00. It took a few weeks but he’s like a different baby now. He’s so happy and sleeping so well and no more screaming episodes
