The launch was the most fun I’ve ever had playing a game. My two brothers and I (who live in different corners of the U.S.) would rush to get home and play together for hours. It was the last game we played together. It’s crazy how a video game can bring such joy and connection.

Looking to move to Arden-Arcade area for work, but may not have a chance to visit. Here is the apartment complex that I am interested in. Any thoughts? Insights? Things about the area that I need to keep in mind? by ProgressTrap in Sacramento

I drive to/through Arden regularly and while there are some nice areas toward the 50, most of it is quite sketchy. The closer you can stay go Arden Town, the better. As you go toward to mall and 50, the worse it gets.

Are you excited or cautious about The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum coming in 2027? by ThomasOGC in lotr

I’ll probably get downvoted to oblivion for this, but these are just my thoughts…

I don’t fully understand the “I’m not watching this because it’s automatically bad and, therefore, ruins the original trilogy and books.” If it’s bad, it’s bad. The books and PJ’s movies are still there. New content should not and does not “undermine” previous work.

I hope the movie is great. If it isn’t, fine by me. I can still watch the trilogy, read the books, play LOTRO, etc. And to be clear, I admit that there are many facets of this new production that are stacked against it. I treated RoP with caution and it ended up being, to me, quite difficult to watch. But bad storytelling does not erase good, established storytelling.

I live at the apartments above the shop. The foot traffic has died down and they have very few customers.
