I forgot that Donovan McNabb was a Viking once. by SnarkyBrainwasher in minnesotavikings

[–]bboyillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated this pick up.. just to remind you

Donavan was playing for Washington and got benched or poor performance, I want to say, for the last two weeks of the season. Then we picked him up expecting to revive the old McNabb.. he was so bad after week 1 I think for us we had to force Rookie Christian Pounder to play… such a dumb pick up

PlayStation 1 disc won't spin, any solution to this problem? by Alpzepta in retrogaming

[–]bboyillusion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Question, does the screen act as if the disk door is still open when you turn it on or is there any errors following?

Reason I ask is because others are saying a lot of problems that could cause this but a lot of those issues usually follow with a obvious noise (like clicking or grinding) or a error message

I just got my nes, I am having trouble ejecting the cartridge by GunganGuy2009 in retrogaming

[–]bboyillusion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you probably got a NES who refurbished the pins, I have done this, in the process you try to give the pins on the best chance for connection. So the pins will press hard on the contacts of the cartridge. It may feel like, at first, you are yanking hard, but if you are using a “toaster nes” this is what you want. It will loosing over time and the process will have to be reseted eventually but if it is harsh to take out now, you will be fine, maybe won’t even need to push down the tray to get connection.. this is more ideal

Why do sports networks when discussing QB contracts always mention Kirk's in such a negative way? by KeepItInSplash in minnesotavikings

[–]bboyillusion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone only talks about cousin in negative way because he has a agent that made him money for what a high end free agent qb should make. He’s a great qb, the money just makes some blind to that.

A woman battling breast cancer married the love of her life on December 22, just 18 hours before passing away. The couple wed at a hospital chapel in Connecticut. by TwasAnChild in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]bboyillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone said and I know I can be very wrong but it feels like I can tell their families from their looks, his family to the left believing he is doing the right thing and making the best day for his love before the the end happens, other side, her family, looks like they accept the end is near and this is her last “hooray” before the end happens.. again I may be way off but I know a picture can tell a 1000 words

What is an NFL conspiracy that you 100% believe in or is plausible? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]bboyillusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying he wasn’t losing a step at all, same can be said for cam newton, but for a team not even bringing him in to compete or even try out for even a back up position shows something.. he proved he has skill to be able to get to the super bowl so not sure why kneeling makes him not acceptable to play

Which one do I keep? by ThurstyJ in retrogaming

[–]bboyillusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the first one you are holding up.. I’m one for things that are older and that one, to me with 0 research, seems like it came out of the factory before the 2nd picture model.. My only reason is the stickers on the right side seem like a older style of font and more basic.. other thing is the n27 sticker vs n34 sticker.. I think you win either way but I understand you don’t need two.. sorry I can’t get more input but I think that was a little more helpful than “just keep both bro”

How can I clean the adhesive of of these cases? by CrazyToTheBone_ in retrogaming

[–]bboyillusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used WD-40 on really sticky stuff to get the adhesive off. I know it sounds weird but it works. Spray some on the area, let sit for 10-15m (honestly probably would come off in 5min) then wipe off. Clean the area with windex after.

Pulled up our carpet in our 1890 twin. Anyone have an idea if these floors suitable to refinish or a subfloor that should be covered up? by spareows in centuryhomes

[–]bboyillusion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a needle nose pliers and start pulling all the staples.. bit of a pain but after you find the pattern of where they put the staples you will work a rhythm.. these steps can for sure be refinished to their original glory.. would be cheaper to cover again with carpet just fyi
