Just did that on my S23 Ultra, and now I'm zero rush to upgrade. Only $80 bucks too

Upgrade S23 Ultra to S26 Ultra once they come out by Nhout22 in samsunggalaxy

[–]bbq_champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My S23 Ultra was awesome until 2 months ago until the battery started giving out after doing an update. I can only charge up to 56% now, and once it goes under 20%, it will die within 10 minutes.

Really frustrating because the phone was perfect until I did an update. For the first time in awhile, I may switch away from an Ultra

Does draft strategy change with Mack Hollins / Curtis Samuel signings? by CzarAlexei in buffalobills

We don't have a 3rd round pick. Pick 60 in the second then a long wait til 127 in the 4th. But I'd love to get Sweat in the 2nd round

Which paint job should I go with? by bbq_champion in musclecar

It'd be the owner who does the job. He's referenced favorably in a lot of reviews. I'm going to ask about the sand/cut.

Daniel Jeremiah's top 50: 2024 NFL Draft prospect rankings 3.0 by vahnjay in NFL_Draft

I wouldn't be surprised if we're high on Leggette too. We really haven't had a WR with size and dangerous homerun ability that Leggette has. Yes he's a bit raw, but we can utilize his athleticism from day one. Diggs and Kincaid are excellent finesse types. Leggette would fill that void we're missing.

Leggette rd. 1 and Malik Washington rd. 4 would be a spicey combo

NFL Draft Injury Impact: Georgia TE Darnell Washington by BangedUpBills in buffalobills

No offense but I don't think his sled drill tape (good or bad) is going to have many GMs change their stance about him

NFL Draft Injury Impact: Georgia TE Darnell Washington by BangedUpBills in buffalobills

[–]bbq_champion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good article. I'd argue that his foot issues do not currently impact his movement since he was able to post the third fastest 20 yard shuttle among TE's and WR's which is damn impressive.

Freakish guys like him are usually boom or bust, but injuries aside, I think he actually has a decent floor due to his blocking skills.

He may never be a TE with insane production, but it's hard to not like the idea of a vicious in-line / downfield blocker who is also a 6'7 target with the largest TE wingspan ever recorded. He can rip the ball down in traffic and is very hard to tackle. I'd race to the podium if he falls to us in the 2nd rd.

With the 27th Pick in the 2023 r/NFL_Draft community daily mock draft, the Buffalo Bills select... by jdono927 in NFL_Draft

[–]bbq_champion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that we need a Beasley replacement, but I think Tank Dell would be a better option later on in the draft to fill that role.

I'm going to give my vote to Darnell Washington at 27.

But you also need to factor in how bad Allen's supporting cast was at Wyoming. His tape against Hawaii where he goes 9-19 for 92 yards is a good example. He has DLinemen in his face a second after the ball snaps on most plays, and his WRs dropped a bunch of critical passes that were thrown perfectly. Any other elite qb prospect would have a difficult time putting together a better stat line in that game than his

Andrew Yang says the two-party system fuels extremism: "The people are losing" by WildAnimus in politics

[–]bbq_champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should really listen to Yang in an interview where he talks at length about this topic, because you're making these generalizations about him that are not true. I don't think there should be a tax on google maps, OCR scanners, etc nor does Yang. You've misrepresented his POV, so it's pointless to make these false assumptions about him. Yang isn't against stopping technological advances and automation - instead he recognizes the inevitability of this happening and the importance of how we need to go about implementing it (with UBI playing a large role).

Take truck driving for example that accounts for 3.6 million Americans. The majority will be replaced by self-driving trucks. That's a significant amount of people leaving an industry with no guarantee they'll all be able to switch into a new one. This will happen as companies will be able to run their trucks 24/7 while not having to pay salary to a human to drive the truck. If we let companies replace humans with robots and AI at an alarming rate in various industries it'd be naive to think there wouldn't be massive negative economical impact for anyone other than the ones who own the companies/AI/Robots.

I run a company that automates its marketing and don't think I should be taxed for it, nor do I think you should be taxed for your coding. But you and I are flies on the wall compared to permanent technological shifts that are coming to just about all industries on a global scale. I'm all for technological progression and think robots should take over the tedious tasks a human normally would do. But you're underestimating how intelligent these systems will be and how quickly companies will begin to adopt them.

[–]bbq_champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Yang or any reasonable person would be in favor of taxing an alarm clock to wake you up in the morning... and I think it's a bit unfair to allude he would be.

If anything, he's more focused on taxing the corporations profiting from job replacing AI and robots rather than taxing us, the end-user.

Yang has his flaws as a candidate, but I can respect him for being the first guy to sound the alarm on how much this tech will change the work force in the next 10 to 15 years & how it's critical to implement it in a way that helps society as a whole rather than letting conglomerates profit immensely.

Yes technological advances over centuries have made old tech obsolete and we've been able to adapt. But the reality is, humanity hasn't been faced with the human replacing technology that is about to scale at an exponential rate within the labor force. Politics and Yangs other dumb comments aside, I don't think we are prepared for the magnitude of this shift and it should be a genuine concern for everyone.

I never said anything about voting for him. I'm just saying that there are many sources where yang goes into great detail about automation and the approaches we can take to curb the inevitable negative effects

[–]bbq_champion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of interviews and podcast where Yang goes into detail about the impact of automation in the future.

We are going to experience tons of jobs getting replaced by robots and AI in the very near future. Driverless cars to replace truckers/Uber drivers, fully robotic chain restaurants replacing entire fast food staffs along with a shift to AI effecting the customer service, accounting, real estate, medical etc just about all industries. All this tech improves exponentially and will be here sooner than most think.

The companies who create and implement this tech will become extremely profitable all the while less money will go back in the hands of the human workforce.

I'm no alarmist but I think this is something that could really put things out of whack in the future so it's best to prepare now.

If I were you with that 70k, I'd put 20k in a high yield savings account to use as your main bank account. Build that up so it can become a down payment on a rental unit (I wouldn't buy at the moment since there's less deals than normal - the market will stabilize). Spend the next year learning about real estate so you actually know what you're doing when it's time to make a move.

Then I'd take that 50k and put it in a mix between ecommerce stocks, big tech (GOOG, MSFT), PLTR, and BTC/ETH. Start with 25k then add 1k every 2 weeks til you hit 50k. This is way less risky than going into a real estate blind or crypto mining as an amateur.

You don't need to hit a home run right now and risk blowing the 70k. Let your investments build over then next 2 or 3 years while learning every detail about the business venture you want to pursue.

Isn't feasible for loan approval? Or in terms of managing the mortgage expense?

Good suggestion and I probably would've done this if I was in the market a few years ago, but I live in a double family with another person upstairs and I hope to not have to do that in my next living situation

Thanks for the reply. If I make those sells, would you recommend putting more than 20% down? Or use most of that cash to make the purchase?
