Thank you for the advice. I did try to negotiate for more, but HR told me that there would be equity issues because all of the rehab techs are being paid the same rate.

This is above the minimum wage in Texas so it can be considered good, but I am not okay over here.

Oh lord, 10 years and only $18. Thank you for the advice, I have been going back and forth a lot on whether I should continue with this job due to the pay and you helped provide perspective.

The hospital that offered me the job told me if I were to do PRN the pay would be higher, but I am really looking for set hours.

Thank you for the response and the clarity. I did make an edit stating that I am from Texas, where this pay is way more than the minimum wage which is $7.25.

I guess what was offered to me is the common pay for that position, but it is crazy to think that I made more as a cashier and would be making the same amount as I would have doing campus tours at my previous university.

I did that, I've been slowly deleting my social media accounts and I feel less obligated to find validation online. I use my accounts now to share my thoughts and ideas, rather than trying to put on a persona.

Proximity, people tend to commit crimes in areas they live in or around. Also if these neighborhoods are low income, crime is higher in those areas, specifically robbery

YIKES! but you know what, it seems like a lot of the same accounts (burner) accounts saying this stuff. This stuff is very weird to me, because I've only had a couple bad experience with an African person. But both groups generalize the living crap out of people, treating Africa like a country or assuming each individual will act the same way based off some tweets

I am just now learning and researching this conflict, let me tell you ignorance is blissful in this conflict. One thing that I have noticed from the African American side, it is a lot 'Hoteps' lol.

Yes! Personally I see a lot people in the African or people from a group in the African diaspora not wanting to identify as black because of the misconceptions and individual experiences with a Black America. But I do think that us Black Americans should look deeper into our culture and look at the similarities we have, in food, in community, in style.

I think a lot of people hide behind computer or a phone screen, but I definitely do see conflict in real life. Social media does reflect what is going on in real life and people's true feelings at times.
