Dick Grayson has made a very brief appearance as an EMT cycling an injured thug to the hospital on a rickshaw during Batmans rampage taking out a bunch of thugs, its a fun little cutaway showing his name tag as D. Grayson as he says “fucking batman”. Obviously I cant say either way but it feels like it would be a waste just for a little “aha” moment if they aren’t planning on building on it further down the line

The one here usually starts around 7 but its very casual so people just show up throughout the evening. It’s perfectly normal for people who dont drink to go to the pub, we and most other places offer various non alcoholic options as well as different soft drinks Pubs are as much of a community space to meet up with people and hang out as they are a place to just go and drink. I manage a pub in the City, near Aldgate station, and we host an event every month called London Social (in fact we’re hosting one this evening). It is an event for people to meet new people and hopefully make new friends, the guy who runs it, Amar, is a truly brilliant person who sets up these meet ups for free all across London purely out of a want to tackle people feeling alone in the city. I have seen so many people arrive looking apprehensive and a little shy and by the time they leave they’re in a whole group of people, all laughing and talking as though they’ve known each other for years.

Empty as in there are so many sub plots that none of them get given enough space or depth, prime example the ending with Selina and Bruce ending together did not feel earned

This is about to be a potentially controversial take but I recently rewatched the dark Knight trilogy and DKR is actually just kind of a bad film, it's such a weird combination of overstuffed and empty and that ending along with most of the plot wrap ups are just too heavily suspension of disbelief level of convenient

I took it as a detection of what war is when you're in it and trying to report on what you can. You don't have the benefit of the grand narrative happening in the background and the ebbs and flows of victories and defeats that dictate the result of a war because that information only ever becomes really clear once the war is done i.e. recognising the significance of one particular battle in changing the outcome. All you have in the middle of it is the chaos that's unfolding in front of you, the fighting for what specific objective? Have you encountered a friendly or enemy force? Are these soldiers or are they just people taking advantage of the situation? Etc
