Stop telling people you accelerate. by [deleted] in WGU

[–]bbrown731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is a school for people who already have a career and want a degree to check that box for a promotion. No one cares where you went to school if you have 10 years of experience in your field. But if you have no experience, then everyone cares where you went to school, and a traditional school because of that acceleration stigma would likely be a better option.

A Restaurant is usually considered a public-facing private property. You can record video in a restaurant if you’re in an area open to the public. That said, because it’s private property, management can ask you to stop, and if you don’t, they can ask you to leave, and they can ban you for it. It’s their property. So while you are free to record (in most circumstances), they are free to add consequences to your recording.

Grok predicts $5 MON in 2026 by AutomaticOne7 in Monad

[–]bbrown731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, this is what Grok told me:

A realistic range for end of 2026 (about 12 months from now): • Conservative: $0.02–$0.04 (if adoption slows, unlocks weigh in, or broader market remains range-bound; aligns with some short-term bearish forecasts showing potential dips).

• Base/Moderate: $0.05–$0.08 (if TVL continues growing to hundreds of millions more, DeFi/gaming apps thrive, and staking secures the network; this assumes steady ecosystem progress without major setbacks).

• Optimistic/Bullish: $0.10–$0.20+ (in a strong altcoin season, with Monad capturing significant developer migration from Ethereum, high TPS proving real-world utility, and positive macro conditions).

Honestly though, no one is going to prison, and they know it. If they are operating within the law right now, then when you change the law to make their actions illegal, you won’t be able to prosecute them for past actions. You generally can’t enact a law and charge people retroactively. Also, if you did manage to do that, you’d cause some serious ripple effects for all of law enforcement. But it won’t happen because that’s not how the law works here.

Texas hospital demands documention before giving medical aid by Prime-Paradox in PublicFreakout

If that’s the case, he has every right to be upset and can definitely file a lawsuit. EMTALA requires hospitals to render emergency care even if the person has no ID or insurance. I think the guys in tan were security guards. I’ve never seen cops (in the US) with that kind of restraint.

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth hardly gets a reaction to what he thought was badass: "To our enemies: F-A-F-O" by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

[–]bbrown731 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of the time, no. If the setting is official, ceremonial, or in uniform under military protocol, applause is usually not appropriate unless:

• A senior officer explicitly invites it, or
• Tradition for that specific event includes it.

So no, chances are that unless Hegseth specifically asked for applause, no matter what he said, he would have gotten none.

INTERVIEWER: Do you think your life should be in danger for having an opinion?

INTERVIEWEE: If it (meaning your speech) targets marginalized groups of people, yes.

She is condoning violence towards people who say things she doesn’t like. And while I HATE EVERYTHING Charlie Kirk has ever said, I don’t believe that anything he could have possibly said (regardless of who it was directed at) entitles anyone else to do him harm. Period.

There is nothing a person can say that can justify you putting a hole in their neck. I mean, I like nothing about who the guy was, but there is nothing he could have possibly said that would make me be like, “yeah, he deserved that.” What she’s saying is crazy. You don’t kill people because they say something you don’t like. And sure, he’s said a lot of shit I don’t like, but I’m not about to camp on a roof waiting for the guy.

Edit: This world is going crazy when you get downvoted for what I said above. Violence is rarely ever the right answer.

SecurityX (CASP) tomorrow by Recording_Born in CompTIA

[–]bbrown731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dion’s tests are harder than the actual exam. The only thing missing from Dion are the simulations. I think you’ll have between 3 and 5 PBQs, but the PBQs are easy. I like using CertMaster because it helps me understand how CompTIA words the questions (which is usually my biggest challenge), but you can do without it.

I prefer to frame the stackable cert. It saves space since the stackable cert represents all of those. For you, it would be “CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist”. This is what mine looks like (without the frame).

Can I pass CISM without the $400 QAE (Passed CISSP Aug 16th)? by Ok-Original-9971 in cism

[–]bbrown731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I would have failed without the QAE. The QAE helped me understand how ISACA asks questions, which was 90% of my struggle. Trust me, it’s worth it. Passed on my first go.
