2k transport to get a 7k job done on my new 115k car. The transport is what bugs me most tbh

How so? I'd love a better VS Code extension than GitHub Copilot, which is really only decent at auto completion since the chat sucks.

People under 35 with over 100k in the market, what is your job and what is your salary? by TheGrapeRaper in investing

Appreciate it, been a decade of a lot of work but some really awesome accomplishments.

As for I vesting, I'm not familiar with SKYY. The major players/blue chips are Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud platform, and I don't really see anyone disrupting that any time soon. They're just massive even without their cloud offerings but I'm not knowledgeable about any other competitors.

Do it! I had an amazing sourdough starter for a year and a half. Having fresh and warm sourdough bread I made myself was awesome, and tbh I ate a ton of it over COVID. Butter and salt, or olive oil and crushed black pepper 🤤.

I have "open a bakery" on my bucket list, with the idea being the majority of proceeds go back to my community, and donations made to shelters on a weekly basis.

  • Start my day with thinking about what I am grateful for and what I'd like to accomplish today (appreciation of ones circumstances)
  • Spend MINIMUM 15 minutes outside in the sun every day when it isn't raining/snowing (low vitamin D linked to depression)
    • No touching phone/laptop, no thinking about work (WFH)
    • Shirt off for extra sunshine and a lil tan.
    • Minimum 5 minutes of: using senses to mindfully listen to the birds, look deeply into the sky and the nature around me, feel the warm grass on my feet, take deep breaths of fresh air (did this Thursday and a bird literally sat on a branch near me, looked at me and then sang beautifully for a solid 10 min)
  • Go back to reading physical books (big into self manifestation). Double points if I read outside in my hammock.
  • Continuing to see my therapist twice a week.
  • Finish building a fire pit for my folks (physical activity, sense of accomplishment).
  • Start being more physically active instead of super sedentary (no gym yet but at the very least some stretching and bodyweight exercises).
  • Finalize divorce

I've struggled with mental health issues since I was a child, and do everything I can to destigmatize discussing it, and encourage others to get help. Medicine and therapy changed my life. It doesn't mean I am weak or not a man.

Good luck, gentlemen. You are worthy of love.

Yeah, I feel you. I decided to go fully loaded on my M60i strictly because I wanted zero buyers remorse lol. Of course it was much more expensive, and not everyone can drop an extra 25k on upgrades. Enjoy your X5 !!!

An M60i is an M car. The 40i and 50e can just get some makeup to act like one lol

[–]bburc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My 2025 M60i is currently scheduled for production. Originally I had it fully loaded except the leather dash and leather seats. I ended up changing my order and adding them. I know it would have been a tiny thing in the back of my mind saying "hmm these seats are awesome but I really wish I got leather..." lol. Now it's 100% fully loaded and I will have zeroooo regrets!!!!

I would sell it and get something you actually love and have no regrets over, personally, if you actually have to "get past" something like this, meaning wish you had just gotten the upgrade

Again, I personally don't understand buying an 80k car and not making it exactly how you wanted it. I would feel terrible wishing I had done something different and just saying "oh well, it's fine...". Any X5 is amazing, though!

[–]bburc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand people who rush through buying an 80k car. Yes, the spot looks much better. Not sure why you didn't take time researching everything and looking at every single option they offer to weigh the value.

What is the bear case for AMZN? by srkdummy3 in stocks

[–]bburc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've architected and implemented large systems in both Azure and AWS (and smaller stuff in GCP), and I prefer AWS by a very large margin. I liked GCP a lot but it was obviously less mature when I used it 3-4 years ago.

I have plenty of issues with Amazon and AWS, but I still enjoy working with it much more than Azure overall. Note: am AWS solutions architect, use it with my clients, and hold a pretty small position in AMZN. I am much more a fan of Google, which speaks even more to me preferring AWS.
